A wonderful vacation awaits! You will have all you need for a perfect get-away in this well-equipped 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom cabin located in the resort village of Cobbly Nob. You are just a short drive from all the action in downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and can leave the day behind to escape to serene and peaceful surroundings. Relax in the jacuzzi out on the deck, or by the wood-burning fireplace. While having all the charm of a mountain getaway, you can still enjoy the comforts of a modern home with free WiFi, cable television, NetFlix, all appliances, coffee maker and a washer/dryer. Just in case of a rainy day there is an additional screened porch. Our cabin has 2 comfortably furnished levels. You enter into the living area with cathedral ceilings and wall of glass with a view to the mountainsides, inviting warm light into the cabin. There is a fully equipped kitchen ready for you to use, including even a K-cup Keurig coffee maker. The bedrooms are on the lower level, with each of the bedrooms featuring it's own private bathroom. The master bedroom also includes a jetted tub, surrounded by windows with a private view out to the shady lush forest below. Lastly, when you are not hiking in the mountains or strolling through the town, as a guest of Cobbly Nob resort village, you can still fill your days with easy and fun activities, having access to 3 separate outdoor swimming pools (open Mem Day-Labor Day), and having Bent Creek Golf Course directly next door. Forget something? Don't worry, there is a convenience store, including delivery pizza, right at the foot of the hills. Cobbly Nob is a private resort village, with 24 hour security. The winding mountain roads in Cobbly Nob are lit throughout and paved, as well as being clearly marked and well maintained. There is paved parking directly at the front of the cabin, we can accommodate 2, but please note it is a slanted area.
We offer 2 damage protection options:
Default: A $500 security deposit that is refunded after your stay when there is no damage.
Option: A $59 damage waiver fee which acts like an insurance policy through VRBO and would cover damage to the cabin up to $1000. The $59 fee is not refunded to you. If you prefer the damage waiver fee option please note that in your reservation request.

Cozy cabin with great views and hot tub
Loved spending 3 days and nights here with wife and teenage son to hike the Great Smoky Mountains. Aptly named “Almost Heaven” cabin has everything you need and almost everything you want, with a great view and affordable price. Floor to ceiling windows in main floor, lovely screened in porch, and hot tub on the large deck are the highlights. Close to a dozen good hikes. Full kitchen. Great supermarket with fresh produce just 15 minutes away. Two good bedrooms with full baths. Washer and dryer to clean your clothes. Wood fire place with stocked wood. Only thing would make it better would be to have a hair dryer, some better pans, and some stocked basics (like cooking spray for pans). Loved it. Highly recommend it.
So close, yet so far away...
*Good layout. Nice and secluded.
*Not too far from Gatlinburg but also not so close that you feel smothered.
*More than adequate space for the # of people that the listing says it can hold.
*Didn't see any bears but I definitely can see how they'd like to be around the area.
*Not a lot of light pollution (if any) so you can see the stars very easily if the skies are clear.
(note: I've contacted the owner of this cabin about these issues but I never received a response.)
*Ladybugs, both alive and dead, all over the master bedroom and near the sliding patio doors. We understand that the house is in the middle of nowhere so bugs will happen-but we found a pile of dead ladybugs near the hot tub in the master bedroom. Cleaning staff should have stopped by before we arrived and make sure everything is OK beforehand.
*Found some stains on the master bedroom sheets. They were clean-just stained.
*If you prepare to cook while at this place please note the stove looks rough. It's not necessarily stained up or anything but the dials have a lot of scratch marks and is very dated. Microwave is sort-of the same way but nowhere as bad as the stove. Everything else there is fine and in very good shape (fridge, coffee maker, plates, silverware, dishwasher, etc.).
Note: This isn't exactly a con against the property or the owners but you should be aware of the following: once you're off the highway and on the Cobbly Nob property the roads are NARROW. If you have a full-sized truck/SUV you'll probably have a sense of paranoia to hit you. We took the gf's Nissan Rogue and that was spooky enough-thank God we didn't take my F150. Also the driveway is small so if you plan on bringing two full-size SUVs or trucks please rethink that idea.
Would I stay here? Eh, I'd look around more before I stay again but compared to where I stayed in the past its definitely not the worst.
Everything about the place was great!
It was the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Perfect for a quick getaway
My husband, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I stayed at Almost Heaven for two nights, and it was wonderful! The cabin was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We did have to call their maintenance guy once because the hot tub tripped a breaker, but they were up quickly and had it running again in no time. We also had our deposit back in a reasonable amount of time. We were slightly uncomfortable with the drive up to the cabin, but that's what you get when you visit the mountains :) We would definitely recommend this cabin, and even visit it again ourselves.
Wonderful place to stay.
What a beautiful and wonderful experience, would enjoy this again. The owners are very kind and down to earth people.
Not what expected
Did not like having bedrooms in the basement with no fire escape. The parking was very undesirable. The cabin was not clean. The furniture needed dusting and spiderwebs were inside. Not much for amenities. Only 1 dishwasher pod was left for a five night stay. One roll of paper towels. 1 kitchen towel. The upstairs of the home was very nice. I did not use the fireplace as I I was scared to use it. I would not recommend this property. I did have a small issue and called maintenance and it was fixed immediately

We apologize that the cabin did not meet your expectations and that you did not enjoy your stay. Thank you for bringing to our attention that the cabin had not been properly cleaned, which we are addressing to our cleaning company. The level of consumables (e.g. dishwasher pods) is competitive and somewhat standard with the other rental mountain cabins in this market, as well as limited parking is a normal condition for residences in this area. Unfortunately, some of the items you raise, we must confess we simply find difficulty to address -- such as fear to use the fireplace or feeling unsafe in the bedrooms in the event of fire. Given that in each bedroom has exit access via opening windows, similar to many homes, this is not concern that we'd previously received, or personally encountered during our own visits to the cabin. All we can offer is confirmation that the residence is fully up to code and has passed all building inspections. It is our hope that all of our guests have a great vacation visiting our cabin, and so our genuine apologies that you did not enjoy stay. We hope that in future you are able to find a vacation property which meets your needs.
