About Dana and Michele

We - Michele & Dana - currently live in Woodfin/Asheville, NC. We have lived, separately and together, in places like San Francisco, Philadelphia, Amherst, MA and Johnson City, TN.

We moved back to Woodfin in November 2016 and fell in love with Western NC's mountains and wildlife right along with Asheville's downtown area.

Michele is a life coach and former DJ and videographer. Dana is a UX Designer and occasional web & graphic designer. We met in 2009 and were married in 2015 on Halloween at Michele's family home in NC.

We're not usually big on lists, but together we agree that 5 things we can't live without are good friends, great conversations, music (we like almost every genre!), laughter and family (bio and chosen).

Dana and Michele purchased this house in 2017

Private, peaceful, spacious, convenient location

  • 4 of 5

As a WNC native, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It definitely made me feel at home. Upon arriving, I was greeted with fresh bread and supplies for my cat companion. The kitchen is fully equipped, as well as the restroom. It's an easy drive to anywhere you need to go, and secluded enough to find tranquility while still being near the city.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Good location outside of town. Dana has thought of everything, seriously! Love the goats milk soap and choices of phone chargers (I always forget mine). It’s like the owners have spend a week in the house and thought of everything you’d need for your stay. We didn’t have the chance to meet Michelle but Dana truly has a heart for serving others. She made sure we were more than comfortable and seeked constructive criticism (we couldn’t find any!). We’d definitly stay at this local or others of theirs any chance we get!

EXCELLENT!!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here with our two fur babies and it was absolute excellence. The house was clean and fresh the dogs LOVED the yard. The area was quiet and very relaxing. We plan to visit here again. We arrived late the first night and there was a welcome note and fresh baked bread, which I used a slice of it to make french toast the next morning. Dana and Michele checked in on us and made us feel totally at home. Highly recommend!!!!

Great little place close to Downtown

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Dana and Michelle are awesome! When we arrived, there were notes left for us, as well as a fresh baked loaf of bread. There were treats for our dogs (grain free-yay!) and just nice little touches throughout. The house is not fancy, but that's not what we were expecting. It was immaculate and the bed slept wonderfully. The house is super dog friendly, which is always very important to us. Our dogs loved the fenced yard, the dog bed, and treats. Plenty of dog bowls as well. I think they made our dogs feel as welcome as they did us. I love that. The place was very well stocked with dishes, glass wear, towels, spices, and even coffee. The drive to downtown was 10 minutes. We took an Uber in at night, since we were having cocktails and that was around $10. Easy peasy. Dana and Michelle checked in during our stay to see if we needed anything. Nothing intrusive. They just genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Would I come back here? In a heartbeat!

Super cute, clean and comfortable! Perfect fit for us. Our fur bay loved the fenced in yard. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and seeing the stars.
