We are a group of friends that grew up in the area of Leakey and have been friends since Kindergarten. We have all spent time out here throughout our lives and some are still not too far down the road .
Owner purchased this House in 1986
Why Owner chose Leakey
This property was originally the home of one of us and is where a great family of five were raised. In 2016 we got together and bought the property to keep it in the family. After over a little over a year of hard work, blood, and sweat we have what you see now.
What makes this House unique
Probably one of the most unique things about his property is the seclusion. Out here the lack of light and noise pollution is amazing and hard to describe without experiencing. Having all that and the benefit of the Frio River and the proximity to places like Garner State Park, Lost Maples, and Concan make it all so appealing.

Beautiful home, awesome surroundings.
Enjoyed our three days at this beautiful, well furnished home walking distance from the Frio River. It rained in the mornings but stopped mid day where the grandkids were able to enjoy getting wet. Will definitely be back.
Our trip was perfect for the 3 little families visiting the Frio. We were close enough to visit Garner and go swim at Neals, but then got to retreat to our adorable cabin tucked away in the hills!
A great escape!
This is a fabulous place to escape reality. The stars at night are definitely bright. River water is the perfect temperature and just a short walk from the house. The house is very roomy and spacious for a large family to move around comfortably. Be sure you don’t forget anything because you won’t want to leave once you get there!
House in the mountains
The house sits off the beaten path which makes it a relaxing get away. the river runs right through the front yard of the house and has a really nice set up to go see the water. The water this time of year was warm and low but I imagine on normal water levels it is really nice. Temperature was warm and the Frio river was low but we still enjoyed the floating and hiking near by. Garner and Lost Maples were both good parks to attend for hiking. This house kept our stay of 8 with plenty to do and very comfortable to sleep 8 people. Thank you Mr. Daly for the use of the house. "What a long strange trip it's been".
Home is very nice and fit all our needs. The family all wished we could have stayed longer. The improvement of steps down to the water was wonderful. The neighbors didn’t like having you in the water down by the low water crossing it is in front of their home. Being in the country and having family discontect from the normal rat race of life was great for all. Would rent again 100%. Owner replies to all questions very quickly. Thanks for sharing your home.
Best stay on the Frio ever!
We visited the Frio June 27-30th. We have made several trips to the Frio and stayed at other lodging accommodations. The Dejavu House has been the best place to stay by far! The home was nestled out away from the hustle and bustle of the Frio. We had two families staying in the home (12 people) and had plenty of room! The house was very clean, fully stocked and completely adorable!! I had emailed the owners a couple of times before our trip with questions. They immediately responded and were extremely helpful! We all agreed that this would be “the place” to stay at during our future trips to the River. Our last day there we were already looking to book our next vacation at the Dejavu house!
