About The Owner

My family and I live in Port St. Joe, so we are a text/phone call away if you have any issues during your stay!

The Owner purchased this house in 2015

Why The Owner chose Port St. Joe

I researched buying this property for 3 years before we made the purchase. I looked at all the adjacent areas and decided that I had to have a beach house in Indian Pass, and I feel so grateful and lucky that we were able to find this place.

I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico, and I went to college and lived in the panhandle, so I was familiar with the "Forgotten Coast" and I feel that it is the most beautiful part of Florida.

I hope that you will too!

What makes this house unique

When we walked into the house, we just knew that it was the one!

It's unique shape ( an octagon that resembles a lighthouse) and the fact that it is just big enough to provide a comfortable setting for a beach vacation. It is steps to a beach which is private and allows for a family to feel that it is all their own.

Another nice feature is the fact that the lot is private, as there are no other properties on any side of the house.

I always get a peaceful, happy feeling every time I walk into the house. It's the best place ever!

Great place for a relaxing beach vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with my boyfriend and mother over the holidays. I'm originally from Indian Pass, so it is nice to return. The house was lovely -- it was even decorated for Christmas! I happily used the kitchen and the hot tub. It was close to the beach so I could go for morning runs. The outdoor shower was perfect for washing off after going to the beach. I have never used VRBO before and this was a great first experience.

Charming and quiet getaway

  • 4 of 5

Indian Pass is a great spot to getaway. Very quiet but close to plenty of activities near Port St Joe. The unique architecture of this home makes for a memorable stay. I recommend contacting the owner ahead of time to confirm availability of the Jacuzzi as it wasn't set up during our visit. Also might want to verify rooms per number of travelers as only one of the rooms was made up for our reservation of 2. No big issues, just communicate ahead of your visit.

Perfect quiet beach vacation for families

  • 4 of 5

This was a really nice property. Very short (maybe 2 minutes) walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded at all. Very safe. We left our sun shelter, chairs and beach gear on the beach for hours at a time while taking lunch breaks. No one touched our stuff. The outdoor shower and hose was nice for washing off the sand before coming in. You are a bit of a drive from a grocery store (25 minutes) so we recommend making a stop before arriving to stock up on a few items. The laundry space was a nice feature. Overall, a good place for a quiet beach vacation.

As advertised - great house in quiet location just steps from the beach

  • 5 of 5

The house was great for our family of six to have room to live and enjoy our vacation. Indian Pass is a quiet spot where it feels like time slows down, which is exactly what we wanted. About 50 yards to the beach which we felt like we had to ourselves (no fighting the crowds for a place to put up your umbrella and chair). The owner was very responsive and quick to assist with our questions. If you’re looking for a place to slow down, relax and enjoy the beach like I did when I was a kid, before all the outlet malls and tourist attractions, then this is the place for you!!!
