Relax and Rejuvenate!!
Perfect place to relax and rejuvenate!! Beautiful and quiet. Do a lot or nothing at all.
Rustic, private and affordable
If you want to be near Lake Anna, as we did, this is a good choice. It's a rustic log cabin set back from the road, accessed by a long gravel driveway. If you like being up close to horses, pigs and cats, you'll love this property. The owners are gracious and attentive, as well.
Our log home dream
Everything was perfect. The setting and accommodations passed our expectations. Thank you for a delightful stay.
Our experience was great!!!
My Neice was getting married 6 miles away. We had family from all over coming. Jennifer and Jamie were ALWAYS understanding of guests. 4 tonight, no maybe 7. Always willing to work with us. The accommodations were clean and just perfect for us. Last minute rescue made by Jennifer and Jamie for the brides grandmothers dress that was wrinkled from traveling. Within 5 min. They had an iron and ironing board to us. We are so pleased with our stay. The home is beautiful, property is beautiful, animals are beautiful, owners are great! I will be back and you should stay here as well.
Secluded Getaway
This was a perfect stay for us. From a central location, we were able to visit Monticello, Montpelier, and Mount Vernon (we didn't have time to get to Monroe's Ashlawn-Highland). We also drove part of Skyline Drive and visited Luray Caverns. While each of these spots was a bit of a drive to get to, it was well worth it because the central location allowed us to get to them all. We met our hosts and enjoyed chatting with them. If we go back to this area, we would stay here again. One thing to note for future guests is that secluded means secluded. You will drive to get anywhere, including convenience stores, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. But, if you are planning a local outing, we enjoyed food at Tim's on Lake Anna, minigolf at the Boardwalk just outside the restaurant, the arcade, and ice-cream at Moo Thru (all in the same location about 20 minutes away). The location is convenient to the Civil War Battlefields at Chancellorsville, Fredericksburg, The Wilderness, and Spotsylvania (probably others too, but we didn't have time to explore more). Overall, we were very pleased with this stay.
Jeff and family were a delight to have. Hope they will come back to the farm for another visit.
Ladies stay at Rocky Run farm
My two friends and I had a fabulous time at the farm. The log cabin was lovely and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. The flower garden in front of the cabin was a butterfly heaven. We had so much fun! Jamey and Jennifer were so kind and willingly answered our silly questions, as well as Chloe and Terry. We enjoyed watching some of the workings that take place on the farm. We loved meeting the horses, they are so amazingly beautiful. Samantha and Mabel, the girl pigs, were hysterical to watch in their mud bath and were also fun to feed veggies and fruit to. Cecile, the male pig, lives with the horses and really does his own thing... I think he thinks he's a horse and Tinker is precious! Wish we had been able to see a calf, but it wasn't meant to be this trip.
So if you like a be around animals and stay in a lovely cabin Rocky Run farm is it! My friends and I would loved to visit again in the Fall or Winter.
Karen and friends were absolutely wonderful guests! We hope they will visit us again soon and often!
