About the property

Oceanfront View Condo: 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bath, Sleeps 4 comfortably

Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii... Our spectacular, oceanfront vacation home is a very special, two bedroom, two bath Condominium with incredible views from every room and free internet access. The moment you enter, you will see the waves hitting the reef and the coastline all the way to Kilauea Point. You will know you have found a wonderful part of Kauai.

Our Sealodge home, H-7, is on the second floor with a spacious, open contemporary plan, decorated in an elegant Polynesian-style including new Bamboo floors. The living room and dining areas are accented with beautiful Hawaiian pieces of monkey pod, kiawe, and hau woods. Each bedroom has a tropical flair to match the view.

The lanai is a great place to read, have a drink, or just watch the changing panorama of the light and seas. In the winter months, whales are seen playing just beyond the reef as they return to the islands. This broad expanse of the coastline down to the Kilauea lighthouse is a truly breathtaking sight, one of the best on Kauai.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We're back from our honeymoon, and enjoyed your condo tremendously!

Thank you so much for allowing us to rent it from you. The view is great, it was serenely comfortable, and was so close to so many things up in the north part of the island. We later

stayed another few days in the south part, but the north end was our

favorite by far.

AMAZING VIEW!!

  • 4 of 5

The views from this villa are amazing! You can see the water from basically anywhere in the condo. The condo was very clean, there were plenty of towels, bath/kitchen supplies, and even a cooler/beach chair etc. We felt there was quite a bit of privacy even though there were several other units in the same building. The small community where this condo is located is EXTREMELY quiet, it was so peaceful. Keep in mind, there is no A/C in the unit. There were a couple times during the week that it rained heavy overnight and we had to close all the windows. We wished there was A/C those night. There is a great food store with lots of variety very close. We very much enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Can't beat the view

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week at this wonderful quaint condo. Bear in mind that they don't have AC which is an important point for those that get really hot, however, since the place has some many windows and a lanai facing the ocean, the trade winds flow through the condo and cool it off naturally in a very nice way. Also, since the place faces east, you can watch the most amazing sunrises each morning which are a real treat. Last, its location is really nice centrally located in Princeville. We'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location...but condo needs serious TLC and rude neighbor

  • 2 of 5

First impression when you walk in the door was WOW! View and breeze is best part about the condo (make sure you have 3 hands to open the front door, lock system is difficult). The longer we got into the stay the more disappointed we became. Owners (or previous guests) provided a lot of outdoor gear; multiple boogie boards, snorkel sets, only one small six pack cooler (we purchased a larger styrofoam one that we left). No map of property could be found in the room which was unusual. Several issues within 1st 24 hours. Black mold on back of master bathroom door, came off very easily when I cleaned it. Went to make 1st cup of Kona coffee morning 1 only to discover coffee maker full of mold, moved to tea kettle to make hot water and rusty and metal bits came out. Had to make coffee with a sauce pan and drip system for 10 days. Ironically day before we left we came back from our daily adventure and new coffee maker in a box sitting inside the door. There was a pretty expensive cleaning fee added to the rental agreement, not sure owner is getting what there are paying for.

Unexpected maintenance occurred with no notice from anyone, to replace broken kitchen window and a lightbulb. We rent a condo because We don't want someone coming into our room, we list our sense of security. Owner apologized and said it was the property managers fault, property manager blamed the owners. We were told no one would enter again without notice but coffee maker was left inside room.

Furniture cushions had a moldy smell covered with sheets and that seemed to work ok.

Terrible, rude, abusive neighbor directly below. No one but her could stand, walk, or play on the knoll facing the water. She literally asked people to move and go somewhere else because everyone was distracting from the view. Made mistake of feeding the Nene tiny bits of food from the deck and got screamed at by her. This alone will make me not recommend this condo. Understand owner occupied with rentals around can be difficult, but if you don't like it don't live there and ruin family vacations!

Place needs total refresh inside, popcorn ceilings flaking, mold on walls, light switches make no sense, ceiling fan doesn't work unless 2 lights above window seat were on. Didn't have all the amenities we have experienced with over condo rentals on Kauai. BBQ area was terrible, walked over and used the Wyndham ones.

Gave 2 stars for the location and the Sealodge Beach access.

Owner's Response: We are saddened to hear that you did not have wonderful stay at our home. We have brought the cleaning issues to the attention of our cleaner and the manager will make sure that future guests are provided notice of his pending entry with maintenance people. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the panoramic ocean view, ocean breezes, snorkel gear and the Sealodge beach. We must point out that the Hawaiian Nene is on the US endangered species list so by feeding these birds is a Federal offense and KAPU (forbidden) in Hawaii islands. A resident would understandably be offended at visitors feeding the endangered state bird (signs are up throughout the islands and you hear about it on the airplanes) and so to feeding the local wild chickens, who are not to be fed per local rules.

Nice place, great location

  • 4 of 5

This condo was great for myself and our two adult children. Beautiful sunset views, updated interior, breeze kept things cool in the afternoons/evening since no AC.

washer/dryer was super convenient in the unit.

Local sealodge beach btw was not great-- too shallow to snorkel or swim, and difficult to get to anyway. But other nearby beaches were fantastic within 15 minute drive.

Oceanfront Condo is as advertised and more

  • 5 of 5

The location cannot be beat. Views from every window on the first and second level are breathtaking. Strong trade winds and ceiling fans provide comfortable living. Unit was clean, beds were good, kitchen was well equipped, and there were useful items including a cooler, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. We visited the local fish market and farmer's market and cooked to our heart's delight, eating on the balcony. The expansive lawn, pool, grilling area, and convenient parking are all within steps of the unit. Fantastic mountain view from the kitchen window and lots of wildlife to see. We would book this specific condo again in a heart beat! Also, we appreciated the timely communication and directions provided to us before arrival. It was just perfect!

Beautiful views in idillic location

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Sealodge was perfect for the three of us. Loved the view out over the sea down the coast. Though some elements are showing a bit of age and overall the home is not of a large size, it is very quaint, peaceful and was just right for us. The very clever and different design of the complex maintains a sense of privacy and uniqueness. The home was very clean on our arrival and provided all the equipment we needed.
