Nestled in the ancient Adirondack Mountains, this classic cabin retreat rests on the shores of beautiful Lake Titus. Whether you want to escape for a week or a weekend, the best of the North Country awaits you here, with nature in full display and a place for you and your family to un-plug and unwind.
The Bungalow is a charming, rustic cottage, seated directly on the water and nestled between giant white pines and cedars. Built in 1910 as a honeymoon cottage for my Aunt and Uncle, it is only accessible by boat. The camps on the lake are all privately owned and it is a quiet lake.
While there, you can do as much - or as little as you like: One can hike to the top of Mount Immortelle and experience the breathtaking 360 views; Take a paddle in the Old Town canoe or the kayak; or swim off the dock into the sandy-bottom of the lake. (There is also a wonderful sand beach at the South End of the lake where one is able to "wade in.") If you just want to chill, you can always a cozy up to the fieldstone fireplace with a good book in the great room, or relax in the hammock on the deck. We also have boardgames, playing cards and a backgammon set.
The Northern Loons, which frequent the lake, serenade morning and night, and you can often spot Blue Herons, Hummingbirds and even Bald Eagles. The fishing isn't as great as it was in past years, but there are bass, perch and a rare good sized trout to be caught.
Fully furnished and equipped, there is 1 Full in the master bedroom; a Full in the upstairs, 1 Queen self inflating air mattress; and 1 single Fold-out bed;
Someone wil meet you to escort you in and get you situated and on your way to your enchanting, North Country experience.
