Our spacious oceanfront condominium is located at the beautiful Royal Garden Resort ( 1210 N.Waccamaw Drive--Garden City Beach, SC 29576 ) and has all the comforts of home. The suite is larger than a standard two bedroom. It has an extra 1/2 bath and larger living room and dining area. Included is a washer/dryer inside the suite. Our direct oceanfront private balcony provides spectacular views of the ocean and inlet areas. The oceanfront view from the bedroom picture window and living room is especially nice.
The two large bedrooms with their own private baths and TVs make it possible for two couples to easily share the suite. Or just bring the kids. Plenty of room. The unit also has a queen sleeper sofa.
New carpeting and fresh paint make the unit a nice choice for anyone looking for a great affordable and fun vacation.

HI , my name is Mike Ring and I am a professional painting and wallpapering contractor from Martinsburg, WV. I have lived here my entire life . I graduated from Hedgesville High School and Shepherd University. I am married to my wife, Sharon, and have 2 sons in their 30s.
Michael Ring purchased this condo in 2013
My wife and I have been coming to the Garden City area for about 20 years and have owned several condos at the Royal Garden Resort. We love the resort and enjoy renting out our condo to vacationers who come for a relaxing time.
My condo, #515 is direct oceanfront on the 5th floor. Not too high and not too low--just right. This unit is much larger than most other 2 bedroom condos and is a corner unit . From the balcony you can see the sun rise and set. Beautiful views of the ocean and inlet bay area.
This was our first mother, daughter, granddaughter girls get away. We had a great time and plan to do one every year. The condo was great. We had a great view and the condo was very clean and orderly. I hope to plan a getaway in the near future with my husband and will differently look to see if this condo is available. Again, thank you Mike for the use of your condo.
Sincerely,
Andrea
Had a wonderful time. Condo was great and very clean. Only exception was Royal Garden maintenance team and "security guards". I was told I could not park my SUV in a oversized parking spot because the maintenance supervisor wanted my space. This was actually what he said to me! While shooting fireworks one night, the security guard told me and my two girls that we were breaking the law. To which I asked him to show me the law. He could not produce such law or sign. That same night Horry County Deputy rode by while we were shooting fireworks and he waved and said nothing to us. I was at least 200 feet away from the building. Will go again, just hope the resort employees are a little better with guests.
We enjoyed our stay at this condo in Garden City Beach. It was very clean (one of the cleanest I've stayed in) and the furniture was comfortable, including the beds. They provide sheets, have a towel exchange service and provide soap and some toiletries when you arrive. It is an older building, however they have a new elevator that is large and very fast (in addition to 2 older elevators). I don't think we waited more than 1 or 2 minutes for an elevator the whole week. The parking is adequate and convenient in a deck. My only somewhat negative comment is not about the condo but the beach - at high tide there is very little beach, so it gets rather crowded as everyone moves up. There is a nice pool deck with chairs for these times, however. The area is nice with just about anything you could want close by. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo.
There were some really good things and some not so good things.Really good things:excellent location, friendly environment and owner & pools are decent. Would probably repeat just for the views. Also thanks for leaving some rainy day games in the closet that was nice..:)
The bad things were:Carpet at the start of the rooms are worn out and have nails projecting out hence you need to be super careful when walking or have crawling babies.Similarly the tiles/vinyl as well are quite worn out. Both my kids had injuries & had to get band aids. Faucets & thermostat are quite old and especially the faucets very hard to work with. I would recommend a faucet change..similarly the balcony door edges are quite sharp!
Arcade is actually closed since the storm so the picture is misleading or should have an update saying currently closed as that was one of the reason to book. Similarly the towels (6) are only given Monday and Wednesdays and we had no towels & that was a problem and had to go buy considering we had 4 adults.Similarly trash bags as well....
Also there was confusion with reservation as we came on Sunday & office was closed and they didn't give the keys to parking deck people and had to hang around for 30 min to get things sorted out especially considering i called ahead and informed the ETA.
Also the sandy bar food they dont serve yet only drinks..:(
So overall Ok experience and might repeat just for the sunrise..:)
I would have given 3 stars but had to bump it up just for the views....
We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for the past 11 years and have been renting from the same owners for 6 years. We love this condo and were excited to see the new modern family room furniture and decor and new comfortable beds. The unit is spacious and has great views of the ocean. The unit was very clean and well kept. The condo is family friendly with indoor and outdoor pools, a kiddie pool, an arcade, and a snack bar. The condo is close to many great restaurants and attractions. We plan to rent this condo again this year.
Loved staying in this condo - waking up each morning to the ocean waves, watching the sunset from the balcony. Great corner unit to see both the ocean and inlet. We have been to this rental for the past 3 years and have already booked our 2017 dates. Condo has all the equipment needed for a great vacation - you can stay in and enjoy the ocean or drive to one of the many locations for food and day trips.
