Not What We Expected
So, this place is indeed in a very pretty part of Virginia. The property is quiet and peaceful.
Note that there are no interior pictures of the Oaks House. It turned out to be very basic and oddly configured to sleep 15 people in numerous twin beds packed into the bedrooms and indeed even in the "living room" where one twin bed greets you at the front door and another is placed where there should be chairs or a table. The "living" part of the room consists of one couch and a couple of office chairs. There is an older television tucked in a corner. The house is located an a spiritual retreat with other buildings nearby as depicted in the photos.
Bottom line is: for the price, I expected a well appointed, comfy, perhaps even romantic country house. If that's what you are looking for, you will likely be disappointed. After spending a few hours here, my wife and two boys decided to decamp back to our house in Fairfax.
