This home is a restored, well-maintained Spanish bungalow.
Walking in the front gate, you enter a courtyard and patio oasis that is perfect to sit on and sip your morning coffee.
After being welcomed by an inviting living room and grand piano for music lovers, there is also a smaller room for watching TV or playing cards.
The teak wood rectangular dining room table seats 6 people.
As you enter the bedroom retreat, you'll notice the peaceful decor and a queen-sized bed , lights to read by at night, and a good-size walk-in closet.
The bathroom sits next to the bedroom and has a shower/tub combo.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, full size refrigerator and microwave - the only thing missing is a dishwasher. There are plenty of pots and pans for cooking; for you coffee-lovers, three types of coffee makers.
On your way to the back patio is an office space, equipped with internet and a good sized desk to set up your work area.
The large back patio has a BBQ grill, and is shared by a lovely young couple who are long-term tenants living in a detached garage studio apartment.
There is a washer and dryer in the garage area, as well as room to store your beach gear and bicycles.
Out the back gate is the one parking space for this rental property.
Charm, character, and location location location. Sit on the front porch, glimpse the ocean. Walk 100 steps and you're on the beach - great for walking, playing in the waves, or watching surfers and sandpipers. Walk 200 steps and you're on Main Street, which is lined with restaurants ($ to $$$) and bars, eateries, dress shops, kite shop, souvenir shops, world's best hardware store, and ice cream too. Walk 300 steps to the Pier -- take a stroll, see fishermen, watch surfers, enjoy views of Long Beach Harbor and Catalina Island, and don't miss the gorgeous sunsets.
True, its close to all the usual Southern California attractions, but most visitors here end up not getting back in their cars until departure - but instead just walk or ride bikes ...

Since our mom died in 2014, we have decided to keep her house in the family and share it with others who will be able to enjoy Seal Beach as much as she did.

We loved our Seal Beach getaway!
Perfect location for our wonderful vacation in this darling beach bungalow. So close to the beach, pier and main street with lots of darling shops and great restaurants.
Old Town Seal Beach is a wonderful, quaint, laid-back little beach town. You are steps from the beach, the pier, and Main St. So walking-friendly that you likely will not be using your car.
