Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful time, even having it rain for a whole day. The cabin is a great escape with an amazing view of the mountains and Watauga Lake. Fully stocked with everything for food prep, a great firepit for S'mores and ghost stories, and a deck large enough for a wedding party.

Rained all day Saturday but the teen girls could not stay off the tree swings, coming in only to put their clothes in the dryer and go back out for more.

Beautiful and Quiet Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our group of 10! There was plenty of space, the views were amazing, and there were things to keep everyone busy from small children to adults.

The cabin was clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked. The drive up to the cabin went well without a 4-wheel drive vehicle. We made it up with no problems in a Honda minivan.

The swings were amazing and were constantly in use from everyone - ages 4 to adults! The carpetball was under the covered deck, which was a fun activity for all ages. Between the view, tree swings, front porch swing, hammock, and carpetball, we could have been content to spend our entire vacation at the house!

There was a gas grill which we used to cook dinner (also under a covered deck). The loft had a foosball table and a bookcase full of books and games for the whole family.

It was a bit warm the first night (end of July), but with the windows open it was manageable.

We hiked around the neighborhood, hiked to Laurel Falls, visited Mast General Store, and rented a pontoon for the day from Fish Sprigs Marina on Lake Watauga (highly recommend this!).

Todd, the owner, was great to work with. He answered all of our questions, usually within an hour or two at most.

We would highly recommend this cabin and would love to visit again! It was so beautiful and relaxing. The views are unbeatable!

I would recommend bringing any groceries in with you. There is a small country store nearby, but they are pretty limited in what they carry.

Best vacation I ever had

  • 5 of 5

Best vacation ever. Definitely requires 4 wheels drive. The kitchen supply was fully equipped. Kids will enjoy the games provided in the cabin. Although there was no internet connection which was good to keep the family together away from their phones. AT&T works fine but there was no T-mobile service. Mr. Todd was very helpful and kind. We cannot wait to go back again to enjoy the wonderful view.
