We have a large back yard with two swing sets and badminton or just bar-b-q on the deck or in the yard while the kids play. Enjoy a game of horseshoes in our newly installed horseshoe pit in the cool of the evening.

Never Bored

  • 5 of 5

Me and my fiance stayed here for 5 days, it was impossible to get bored, the pool table is what we used most, but there was bored games, cable, games out doors, bunnies. It was a great getaway. We didn't run into any problems during our stay so no negative reviews. But one curiosity is that it said 24hr surveillance but no cameras around the house. Over all great stay just that curiosity.

Owner's Response: That’s funny you noticed no camera. We forgot we needed to recharge it so we took it home to recharge and didn’t want to bother you during your stay to put it back up. It’s back in place now! Glad you had a good time! Come back soon!

Wondetful cabin with so much to offer. Loved the decor and all the extras.

  • 5 of 5

Very spacious cabin that was cozy and full of wonderful activities to enjoy like a pool table, games and movies. A nice kitchen and sleeping areas. The deck outside and back yard were nice for our dogs. Easy to find location and close to shopping areas. Carol was so sweet and helpful in everything we needed. You cannot go wrong with this wonderful cabin. We will be back again!

terrific vacation experience. Dramatic interior but cozy too

  • 5 of 5

Owners are exceptional. Great communication and very attentive obviously very committed to making sure their guests have a wonderful experience which we did. Only issue that should be mentioned is quite steep stairs to both the upper loft and lower level. Someone with really bad knees or may have a problem but anyone else it's fine and helps give this very unique property it's character. Great place and great location!

Home is lovely with lots of natural wood and very comfortable. Lots of detail to small things.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay, however we brought Mom along who is elderly (85). Steps were very steep and she was not able to manage on her own. I just had a knee replacement, so steps were difficult for me too (67). We took one step at a time.

Perfect cabin!

  • 4 of 5

Thank you Wallace and Carol for the perfect place to stay in Big Bear! We had such a great time in the mountains- and were especially thankful to bring our dogs! Such an ideal location- close to town and the lake. The yard is set up with great summer activities. We had so much fun playing badminton and horse shoes! And then we played pool at night when it got dark and chilly. The hosts are great at quickly responding and meeting all your request! They had the fans on for us for our arrival as it gets warm during the day and we were greeted with yummy cookies. Definitely going to book again!

Map

We are located in Lower Moonridge, between both ski mountains a mile or two from the zoo and golf course.

There have been recent additions of things to do in Big Bear, including two zip lines, para-sailing, and bicycling at snow summit ski hill. They have increased and improved the many bike trails and the ski lift provides a ride to the top with the bikes loaded on special racks on the back of the ski chairs. The chalet at the top is open for lunch and drinks etc. Big Bear, of course, has great fishing with either boat rentals at three marinas or guided tours with fishing professionals. The water skiing in the summer is great as is the para sailing and wake board parks we have here.

The Big Bear Village has been renovated with new wider heated sidewalks, benches, landscaping and fire pits. A beautiful shopping and dining area.

There are several new venues for live music and nightly entertainment in Big Bear along with CATS theater and great places to shop and dine. We have water slides in the summer and in the winter they become fast or slow sledding rides.

Big Bear also has guided horseback riding. Old miner days, Cowboy poetry days, Chili cook offs and hundreds of year around activities to enjoy and make your stay in the mountains a good one.
