Great for the price

  • 4 of 5

This little gem was perfect for our weekend getaway with the kids. We only had a couple of suggestions to make this property top notch. First, linens only come with an additional charge which we found odd but we just brought our own. Second, the mattresses are your typical too soft inner-spring style, but manageable for a weekend. Investing in some 12 inch memory foam would make a massive difference in sleep quality (We paid $300 on Amazon for ours). Third, there isn't WiFi, so if you're looking to completely unplug that works, but we would have liked it. And last, like with most vacation rentals, a curved shower curtain rod for a little more space in the tub and a shower head with a hose would make it perfect. The property managers were friendly and quick to replace a couple bulbs we found out when we got there. Otherwise the unit was clean and well stocked. It's just a short drive to the beach and we found the locals to be very friendly as well. All in all plenty of bang for your buck.

Needs some work

  • 3 of 5

This beach house has potential, but needs some work! Our main complaint is the amount of dog hair and dirt. If anything went under the sofa it came back sticky and covered in dog hair. Next the kitchen is not up-to-date. I felt like I stepped into my grandmother's kitchen back in the dishwasher or garage disposal. The fridge was very old and not working, but luckily the managing company had someone out within about an hour. A couple other problems were our fault but we have never experienced this with other VRBO properties (10+) we have rented. The first was the extra cost and the fact that we had to request linens and towels. The second was that there is no WiFi.

Owner's Response: Sorry you were disappointed in the House. We have staff available 24-7, and would have been happy to address the cleanliness issues. As to the linens, we are able to keep costs down by not automatically charging tenants.
