Perfect cabin in the mountains. Literally!
We loved staying here! The location was amazing, outside of town on an OHV route right into the mountains. Every direction you turn the incredible views are never ending. And the quiet, peaceful setting with a little creek that runs right by the cabin. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is small and quaint with all amenities you'd ever need to stay for a week and cook all your meals. Another review did complain about the water smell. They are right it does have a mineral smell but really we felt like it added to the mountain experience and my hair was super soft afterwards I must say. We will definitely be coming back and staying here. Kara was awesome to work with! We feel a little part of us was left behind here in Silverton. It was an AMAZING trip!
worst place we have ever stayed....
The Ajax Cabin was the worst place we have ever stayed....I don't even know where to begin..So many things wrong with this place...upstairs shower leaked into the kitchen below..The water smells so bad you cant even stand to take a shower...The tubs were disgusting, we had to clean them before we even attempted to use them...Previous tenants soaps and shampoos still there..The beds were horrendous...The couches had rips throughout...cabinet doors missing...I can go on but I bet you catch my drift...
Hello James. I wish you had tried to contact me to fix the issues you had. Once I heard from my cleaner that you kept calling her, I reached out to you to resolve whatever problems you had, your only complaint to me was that the cabin didn't have cable.... I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.
The upstairs shower leaks if you don't close the door all the way, I leave soap and shampoo as a courtesy, the well water is a downfall yes but it is the only option at that location (last fall we installed the well and this falls project is to install high quality filters), if there was anything uncleanly I would have come up there in a heartbeat if I had known, I am sorry if you found our beds uncomfortable, yes there are approximately 2 tears in the couch, the cabinet doors missing is on purpose and is clear in the pictures
I take pride in my cabin. It is a little slice of heaven. My husband and I really wish we had the means to be there through the summer, we are jealous of anyone that gets that experience.
Beautiful and comfortable
Enjoyed it so much and would stay there again!
Awesome cabin with view
It was everything you would expect from a Colorado cabin. I would definitely recommend a 4wd vehicle for the driveway. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a week. We really enjoyed our time there and would stay again.
Very pretty scenery, quaint & clean cabin
Very beautiful property a little ways out of town. Cara the owner was very attentative to all of our questions prior to arriving. We found the place to be very quaint & clean. The only reason for a 4 star is due to the poor quality of the water that has a very high mineral/metal smell that stays on your hair, skin and clothes. Cara does provide bottled drinking water. We would stay here again.
Very nice place to stay
We really enjoyed the place. They were very accommodating. It is an ideal cabin for 2 couples, we had 4 couples staying and it was a little crowded. It is built on the side of a hill without parking for trailers up there, but we parked at the bottom of the hill and it worked out very well. Loved to be able to ride in and out with our side by sides. Loved it, would stay there again, but with less people.
