You will enjoy staying at this secluded cabin

  • 5 of 5

Stay here if you want to get away from the pressures of urban/suburban life and reconnect with family and friends. The cabin is spacious and well maintained. The hot tub was ultra clean and preset to a perfect temp for a soak right after we settled in. The driveway is a bit steep however the gravel base is fairly even and provides solid grip for tires. The decks are mostly covered and remain dry during inclement weather. The kitchen appliances were clean and worked well. A full assortment of utensils were available for cooking most vacation meals. The gas grill on the deck was clean and in good functioning order.

Secluded log cabin in the mountains

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying at this well equipped log cabin secluded in the North Carolina mountains. Arrival was straight forward. Melissa was easy to work with. The kitchen was well equipped with a gas stove and plenty of cookware. A gas fireplace was appreciated during the cold weather. Dead fire wood was available on the property for the outdoor fire rings and there is a nice stream below the house, with hiking trails and a rope swing. The driveway was passable with a BMW coupe, and is about 0.3 miles from the main paved road. The property itself is very quiet.

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

  • 3 of 5

If you prefer solitude then this cabin is for you. The cabin itself was beautiful. It had all the emenities that you could want. The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking. they supplied soap for the sinks and dish detergent. They supplied towels and linens. It was great that it had a washer and dryer. Getting there was a little tricky. The road that we had to take to the cabin was 5 miles long with 72 turns. The gravel driveway was quite the experience. I feel that you need a four wheel or all wheel drive vehicle to make it up there. It only has room for one vehicle so if someone is in the cabin up the hill from you and they are trying to come down while you are trying to get up (which happened to us) it can be quite frighting. Be aware that you have to drive your garbage somewhere and if you leave any bags you do have to compensate the cleaning lady to take those bags for you. It took awhile to get down the driveway and the winding road to get anywhere. The cabin was beautiful, if it had been closer to the bottom of the hill it would be even better. We only went up and down the hill once a day as it was winding and the driveway was freaking me out.
