Great Vacation Hideaway!!
Awesome!! Nice and quiet. Perfect getaway!!
We loved the cabin. The gas grill allowed us to cook hamburgers for us and guests. Had a good visit with family. Didn't need the extra blankets we brought, as the weather was indecently warm for December. A vacation for the scrapbook!
very clean and spacious
we had a fabulous time. wish we could have stayed longer. the only downside was the fireplace wasn't working.
Beautiful cabin in the woods!
Our stay in this Riverbend community cabin was perfect. The moment we walked in we knew how comfortable the cabin was. It is very well appointed in every way. It was just right for 2 couples. We would definitely stayt here again!!
The property was not very inviting in my opinion
I didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about renting this property or the email exchange with the owner/mgmt company from the beginning. I asked specific questions of which I was never given an answer. Prior to our arrival, I was sent numerous emails that briefly thanked me for choosing exclusive mountain properties for my rental needs and the rest of the email, subsequent emails and attachments were a barrage of warnings. If you show up early, leave late, leave too much garbage, leave garbage in "walmart" bags, stain the towels, etc.....you will be charged additional fees. All total, 13 pages of RULES and what we will be charged additional fees for. I understand the need for "rules" but not to the point of making one feel unwelcome. We were advised not to count on GPS, to follow the directions given, which we did and they were not completely accurate. Upon our arrival, we had difficulty opening the key box on the dark porch with a burned out light. lights were on in the cabin so apparently someone had been there to get it ready for arrival I suppose. The cabin seemed clean initially but we soon decided it was best not to walk barefoot because we ended up with gritty bare feet, which was then transferred to the sheets of whatever bed we were sleeping in. Speaking of sleeping....an extra blanket located SOMEWHERE in the house would have been appreciated. Thankfully for our kids, I had brought 2 of my own. We were out of luck however and had difficulty falling asleep due to being cold (and yes we turned the thermostat up). Per the contract "Additional charges will be assessed, to the credit card we
have on file, for any linens, towels, washcloths, hand towels, etc. that are permanently stained". Just so it's noted.....when we arrived, several of the towels were stained, dingy and should have NEVER been put out for guests. I expect NOT to be charged for dingy towels. We also were told dishwashing soap would be available for us, it was an empty bottle. We were also warned of fees if we didn't wash the dishes in the dishwasher, well....the dishwasher didn't work so they didn't get washed and I expect NOT to be charged for this either. There was a also a conflict of what we were told to do with our trash. The emails stated put it in the trash can outside (which we couldn't because it was full of the last tenants trash) again, I expect NOT to be charged for this. I feel having paid a cleaning fee we should have had any of these issues. We won't be returning
Beautiful, very clean home. Great vacation. Enjoyed the quiet. Would love to stay here again.
