The Historic Queen Anne is a duplex. This is for the two-bedroom/two-bath unit, which sleeps four.

Built just after the great Bandon fire of 1936, which destroyed all but a few structures in the town, The Historic Queen Anne is located in a picturesque, historic part of Bandon on scenic Beach Loop Road.

The large deck facing the Pacific Ocean has great views of Bandon’s famous Face Rock and beautiful sunsets. There are white-water ocean views from the dining and living rooms.

The living room has flat screen TV and is equipped with Wi-Fi and unlimited long distance calling within the continental US.

Access to Bandon’s endless beaches is a few minute’s walk; Bandon boasts some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere; beachcombers will want to explore and search for agates, driftwood, floats and other beach treasures. In the winter months, storm watchers will love being so close to the Pacific Ocean.

The Historic Queen Anne is close to Old Town Bandon and fine dining. It’s a perfect place to relax with a favorite book, play games or watch a movie.

There are lots of things to do in and around Bandon, including world class fishing for salmon, halibut, Dungeness crab and more; whale watching; visiting local art galleries and strolling through shops in Bandon’s quaint Old Town; playing a round of golf at Bandon Dunes, Bandon Crossings or the in-town 9-hole Face Rock Golf Course; sampling cheeses and fresh curds at Bandon’s new, state-of-the-art Face Rock Creamery; or just relaxing away from daily cares.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at the, "Historic Queen Anne", to enjoy Bandon's yearly Cranberry Festival. The duplex is located close to Old Town on Beach Loop Road. There is a public access to the beach just a short walk away. You may park at the ocean lookout and walk down steps to the beach. It's a great place to watch the sunset through a natural stone arch.

The Queen Anne North feels like a comfy cottage by the sea. It has two bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms, a big screen TV in the living room with lots of channels, Wi-Fi, and even a charcoal grill and chairs to view Face Rock looking skyward out of the ocean on the back deck. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans and dinnerware you will need. Full size refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker included.

We had a wonderful time at the Queen Anne and hope to stay with you again soon.

Convenient location

  • 4 of 5

The unit is very close to the ocean - an easy walk to the beach or to a nearby park. Quick drive into town. The unit was clean and fairly well-equipped. The bathrooms are pretty tight, and the unit could use some updating. The barking dogs in the next unit were occasionally annoying.

The place we stayed was very nice.

  • 5 of 5

The overall visit was great. We were just a little disappointed that we never saw the sunset due to cloud coverage every late afternoon.

Short but sweet visit

  • 4 of 5

House was cozy- had everything we needed. Very quiet area. Loved the proximity to the beach and the walk on the beach. Rocks were fascinating. Town was very close as well. I would stay here again!

Clean cozy quaint and quiet

  • 4 of 5

The Queen Anne is a very nice older place to stay. The two beds/two baths is a great feature though I did not use the second bathroom. The property and home is very clean and historic, well supplied and cozy. The area is quiet and neighbors are quiet. I would have liked to been able to get my dog's crate in through the front door, but it did not open anywhere near all the way as it is "historic" and really should be repaired or a new door installed. I struggled with the front door the entire stay. It was fine as I took his bedding inside and he was ok with that. Location to viewpoints is very good. The deck has a partial ocean view (there are oceanfront houses in the foreground). I had a chair issue (a cross support broke/pulled out) when I first arrived and sat on it, but the owner had someone come take care of it the next day, so it was not in the way. It was nice to he was very attentive to that. There are custom quilts on the beds and while it totally suits the character of the place they ask that pets no be allowed on the bedding, knowing about this ahead of time made it easy for me to remove that comforter and bring my own comforter since I knew my dog would be way too tempted to jump on the bed-especially since he usually sleeps on my feet or in his crate at night I liked knowing what the rules were so I could avoid an issue. Overall for the price, it is a very nice place to stay, kitchen was well supplied, and I love that it was so clean there were NO bugs or spiders anywhere inside. That made me very happy.

Comfortable beach house close to beach

  • 3 of 5

The property was as advertised, a small two bedroom upstairs cottage, It is comfortable but not fancy which was what we expected. Although it is not beachfront, there is a nice view from the deck through the gaps between the beachfront houses in front of it. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen seemed to have what you needed although we did not do a lot of cooking. It is also in a nice location - there are several beach access points north and south of the house within a short walking distance. The main problem we had was that although the place was very clean, it smelled like a fish house. Someone had apparently cooked fish or crab and left a very strong smell in the house. We attempted to air it out but it did little good. Luckily it was warm enough to allow us to keep windows open when we were in the house but when we shut the windows to go out, we would come back to the smell. I did notice that there was a sign telling folks not to cook crab in the house.
