About the property

YOU WILL NEVER FIND A MORE PEACEFUL AND SERENE SETTING TO RELAX AND UNWIND!

The warm South Carolina spring is now here with warm sunny days and nights just crisp enough to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Lake Fiddler's Cove is nestled in the beautiful and tranquil Cheohee Valley in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is only a few miles drive to the mountains of South Carolina and North Carolina. It is a short scenic drive to CLEMSON, SOUTH CAROLINA, Home of the 2016 National Champion Clemson Tigers! You could not imagine a more picturesque and peaceful setting than this lakefront home where the only sounds you hear are the song birds, the ducks and geese, and the rustling of the trees by the quiet breeze of the valley. This is a home where you can enjoy and share wonderful times with your large extended family and friends with plenty of space and room for any activity you want to enjoy . This home has 6 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a totally modern kitchen with living room and laundry room with Brazilian cherry hardwood floors and tiled bathrooms. And best of all a huge home theater room which includes a wet bar and refrigerator where you can enjoy all your favorite sports teams and movies with a custom upgraded Genie DirecTV multi room system that allows you to record and watch any program on any tv throughout the home. There is also a huge wide screen HD plasma tv in the upstairs living room as well as a HD tv in both master bedrooms. Home has a top tier programing package of 175 channels shown on a huge wide screen HD tv and a fantastic surround sound system. Sit in the rocking chairs on the covered porch and marvel at the breathtaking sunrise as it lifts up the mist and fog from the lake as the birds awake and begin to serenade you. Or take breakfast on the patio in the most serene and quiet environment that you never knew existed. This fall and winter relax in the hot tub while star gazing or enjoying the geese and ducks frolicking on the lake. (Hot tub will not be open from late spring to late summer.) Home has a dock where you can fish or swim or take off in your kayak, canoe, or pontoon boat. This beautiful and warm home will remind you of the Waltons and is located just north of Scenic Highway 11 in the breathtaking Cheohee Valley, properly named by the Cherokee as the "Place of the Sunlight of God".This lake has some of the most breathtaking sunsets you will ever experience with its beautiful rolling meadows framed by mountains and a wide triangle sky with the Sumter National Forest as its backdrop. At night sit on the patio or back porch and enjoy the big starry sky where light pollution will not interfere with this magical property as outside lights are not allowed in Fiddler's Cove.

Your vacation home is only 15 minutes from the turquoise blue water of Lake Jocassee and its pristine beach. You are only 15 minutes from Lake Keowee, the largest lake in the upstate and your destination for big boating, water skiing, and diving. You are 20 minutes from Whitewater Falls in North Carolina one of the most stunning waterfalls in the Carolinas that sits just a few hundred yards off Hwy 130. You are a scenic 35 minute drive to Cashiers, NC and 45 minutes from Highlands, quaint mountain towns with wonderful restaurants and shops. The turning of the leaves is coming soon and the Carolinas in this area are a spectacular tapestry of colors that rival those of New England in the fall.

This home is 15 minutes away from grocery stores and many diverse restaurants as well as your big box stores and a modern Greenville Health System hospital. This home is an hour to Greenville or Anderson, an hour and 20 minutes to Ashevile, or 2 hours to Charlotte or Atlanta. GSP in Greenville is one of the easiest airports to get in and out of in the entire country and is less than a mile off I 85.

If you are attending a football game at Tiger Stadium you will be pleased to know that you are only a 20 minute drive to Tiger Stadium and Death Valley driving a route over and around the stunning vistas of Lake Keowee.

Once you enjoy the experience of a relaxing and restorative vacation in this home you will want to come back. Life is all about family, friends, and making memories. It is my intention to do everything I possibly can to make your stay one you will have fond memories of the rest of your life.

These were the comments from my very first guest in my home on July 1, 2017.

We absolutely loved our vacation at Fiddler’s Cove and can’t wait to go back! The host Randy is very friendly and easy to communicate with. Luckily, he is an also animal lover and allows well-behaved dogs in the house (and even on the sofa!), which we appreciated very much. It’s not easy to find a nice place to stay that allows medium-large dogs. We were greeted with pretty flowers on the table, and he made sure that the house had everything we needed for our family vacation; he even had two kayaks for us to use on the lake, which we enjoyed every day of our stay. He was reachable but otherwise left us to our vacation.

The home is spacious and comfy, and there are lovely views of the lake from the bedrooms and living areas; we particularly enjoyed the peacefulness of the rocking chairs on the back deck and the pretty sunsets in the hot tub. We had several people in our party who have trouble with stairs, so having three bedrooms on the main level was helpful. Getting around the house was easy for them otherwise, and they were still able to go down to the lower level by walking in the yard around the house. The bedrooms are nicely decorated with luxurious sheets and fluffy comforters. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for a medium-sized group. There was plenty of space for three couples, three single adults, and four dogs – with room to spare!

The lake is peaceful and the mountain views from the lake are stunning. It felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves all week. We also enjoyed walking the road around the lake (around 2.5 miles), and the surrounding area was fantastic for several road rides. We can’t wait to return!

Why Randolph C. Little chose Tamassee

Montana is called the Last Best Place for a reason. It is the most beautiful place I have ever called home. The Cheohee Valley where I now live in South Carolina nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a close second. I have never lived in a more peaceful, relaxing and serene environment than do now here in Tamassee.

What makes this house unique

The most beautiful blue Carolina blue skies you have ever seen. Stars so clear at night you feel like you can reach up and touch them. The most beautiful lakes in the entire state of South Carolina mere minutes from my driveway. Clean pure air and pristine water with no hint of city noise, traffic, or light pollution. Literally dozens of waterfalls in a 30 mile radius all accessible on easy hiking trails. The lowest cost of living of any state in the Union by a wide margin. My home is a $400,000 modern newly decorated lakefront home on 2 acres and the annual property taxes are $740 per year. Low insurance rates and gasoline prices almost always less than $2 per gallon.

Perfect Getaway Place—best place to stay in both North & South Carolina!!!

  • 5 of 5

I️ do a lot of traveling, my boyfriend and I️, but we always wait till “day we leave” or “once we arrive where we going” to find a place!! This can be both frustrating yet worth it in many ways. I️ rely on VRBO many times bc I’ve always had good success using them!! This time was no different!! We landed at Pickens County Airport and I️ started getting to work. In no time, Mr Randolph responded to my request and he so graciously worked with us patiently and we had ourselves “the perfect getaway!” The house was amazing as well as all amenities and anything at all we needed was there. The hot tub outside, not under any structure or porch was breathtaking!!! You could see all the stars in the ske!! The lake right in the backyard was pretty cool as well...especially when the owners have kayaks there waiting fir you!

Rebecca, she keeps the house up, is available at anytime fir absolutely anything you may need or have forgotten! She will go get it...HONESTLY!!!! It was GREAT!!!!

The owner was very helpful also very gracious on pricing and different things!!

The house is located in an amazing area because many many waterfalls and hiking are all around the area!! It’s the perfect middle spot to be in!!

I️ can’t wait to go back!!!! This is by far, in every category possible, hands down, the best place I’ve stayed thru VRBO!!

I️ would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Owner's Response: It is so very gratifying to have wonderful guests like these fine folks enjoy their time in our home and make precious memories to last a lifetime. It is especially rewarding when they express such profound appreciation for all the efforts a host and the property manager put forth to make sure their every want, need, or wish is granted. Vacation stays that end up being exactly what you envisioned for your special guests is the most rewarding aspect of being a host. I hope you come back soon and often. Our little secret paradise will be waiting for you. Randy and Rebecca

Perfect Peaceful Get-away!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our vacation at your beautiful home in Tamassee was exactly what we were hoping for! You have the perfect location of the lake. We absolutely loved coming out and seeing all the ducks and geese swimming by each day. No matter what time of day you go out there, it is so peaceful! The rear deck with the rocking chairs was my favorite spot.

The house itself was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The house was perfect for everyone to gather together yet everyone had space of their own.

We had a great dinner at The Lighthouse on Lake Keowee. We also had a nice visit to Greenville. Next time we will visit when it is a little warmer so we can hike all of the beautiful waterfalls nearby.

Everyone in our party would agree that this was a perfect place for a vacation. We will definitely be back again in the future!! Thank you so much for sharing your Beautiful home!!

Perfect home for our large group

  • 5 of 5

My college roommate and I, along with our families, met here for the Clemson vs GT football game. There was plenty of room for our 6 kids + 1 friend in the downstairs area of the home where you walk out to the hot tub and lake. The adults enjoyed this set up very much! We cooked dinner and breakfast with ease since the rental home is equipped with the comforts of our own homes. The kids enjoyed playing football in the expansive yard. A good time was had by all!

Tranquility with a splash of fun!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely country house! Truly, I didn't think 11 people in the house and tranquility would make good roommates but I was wrong. When I wasn't in the kitchen feeding 11 people I was out on the porch in a rocking chair admiring the mist coming off the lake in the morning or the full moon reflected in the water. The hot tub wasn't a bad spot either. The house comes well equipped with a grill, kayaks, 8 rocking chairs, a hot tub, a dock, and a well quipped kitchen complete with some spices and various accoutrement. The kids hung out in the basement...I enticed them by stocking up the wet bar and left the adults to their own devices upstairs. Thank you, Randy and Rebecca! The birthday party was a smashing success!

Beautiful, charming, all the conviences, and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a quick end of the summer get away with our family, before the chaos of school and sports began. The house was perfect. Great size and wonderful location. Perfect for connecting on the dock, swimming in the lake, rocking on the porch, watching a movie in the basement, or doing a puzzle as a family, and relaxing in the hot tub. The best part was, we could take our pups who are our family too. We will definitely book again.
