Vintage 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Condo with Deck & Mountain Views in Historic District

Stay in the heart of downtown Salida! This light-filled loft apartment features vintage skylights and exposed brick walls and is on the second floor of a historic building on F Street, in the center of Salida's Creative District and historic downtown. Walk out the door to ice cream, coffee, great restaurants and art galleries galore. You are just 3 blocks from the riverfront and the F Street Bridge where all the fun happens! Our 840 square foot loft has two nice large bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen and a huge shared deck with awesome views of the Sangre de Cristo Range, Methodist Mountain, and Salida's iconic "S" Mountain. The apartment faces the rear of the building so you won't hear any street noise but will be steps away from everything Salida has to offer. We have filled this apartment with Mid-Century Modern furnishings and modern art - much of it from local artists here in Salida. Everything you could need to cook your meals is on hand in our kitchen, and the bedrooms feature brand new memory foam mattresses. Relax and stay a while - we bet you won't want to leave!

*A note about pets:* We MAY allow small dogs with prior approval, but as a rule we discourage dogs as there is no yard and the apartment is in a building with 5 other units so any amount of barking will be very disturbing to our neighbors. If you do plan to bring a dog (25 lbs or less please!), please plan to take it with you when you go out. Dogs may not be left unattended in the unit.

*A note about parking:* There is no parking associated with this building. We are working on finding a solution, but in the meantime we recommend parking in the public lot 2 blocks away (near 1st and G Streets), at the Safeway less than a block away, or anywhere that parking is not limited to 2 hours. Thank you for your understanding - we think you won't miss your car for a minute!

About Celia Adamec

We moved to Salida in 2015 when we purchased our first vacation rental in the area, and are loving living in the mountains and raising our young daughter in a small, friendly community. We both work in real estate and construction, and enjoy sharing our "projects" with others by providing a fun place to stay in this wonderful town! Tomas is an avid mountain biker and dirt biker and Celia loves to hike, so we are always happy to suggest our favorite trails and destinations to visitors.

Super communicative and friendly hosts!

While we were unable to stay at Celia and Tomas' rental in Salida due to weather keeping us from driving to Salida, Celia was so accommodating, communicative, friendly and understanding. Salida is a great meeting point for my family from various parts of Colorado and I love the town and I look forward to re-booking with Celia and Tomas in the near future. They were so helpful and have clearly put a lot of effort into making their space welcoming and comfortable and I look forward to actually getting to stay at their place!

Brilliant apartment in perfect location

We (family of four) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Salida and, in particular, this apartment. Once we got over a technical glitch with the app, we were straight into the apartment and it immediately made us smile - it's a very cool space! It's spacious, well-equipped and is located just minutes walk from the local Safeway, the best pizza restaurant (and craft brewery) in town and a selection of coffee shops. A highlight of our trip was the half-day that we spent whitewater rafting with Independent Whitewater on the Arkansas River, which I cannot recommend highly enough.

Great apartment. Everything you need to stay for a few days. Decorated perfectly. Nice beds, linens, towels, and all of the accessories you need in both the kitchen and bathroom. Location was awesome in a really cool, historic downtown Salida. So much to do! Then only 20 min to the slopes!

Salida is a beautiful small town of 5,000 people in Chaffee County, Colorado - right in the heart of the Rockies. It sits in a uniquely sheltered location at the crux of 3 mountain ranges which gives it a surprisingly mild climate and the nickname of the "Banana Belt" of Colorado. Salida is a Colorado Creative District and boasts dozens of artists, studios and galleries as well as many cultural events. It is also the largest historic district in Colorado with beautiful Victorian architecture, great restaurants and unique shopping. And the Arkansas River Valley, which Salida anchors, is home to vast recreational opportunities: from hiking the Colorado Trail, Continental Divide Trail, Monarch Crest and others; to mountain biking, fly fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, ziplining, horseback riding and more.
