Our Happy Camper’s Hale (home) enables our guests to stop, listen, and experience all that makes Lana’i special. This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, fully renovated plantation home is situated just a 5 minute walk to the center of Lana’i town, and a 5 minute walk to the Four Seasons Lodge at Ko’ele, where the trailhead to one of the most scenic hikes in all of Hawai’i is located. Become a part of this community as you walk to town for morning coffee, or BBQ with Lana’i locals on the beach at Hulopo’e Bay, just a 15 minute drive away.
For our adventurous guests, Lana’i offers world class Axis deer, Mouflon sheep, and bird hunting. The island also offers 4x4 off roading, horseback riding, hiking, diving, camping, and deep sea fishing charters. The Challenge golf course at the Four Seasons Manele Bay boasts cliffside holes, manicured fairways, and impeccable greens, all amidst the backdrop of the deep blue Pacific Ocean and migrating humpback whales and dolphins. This stunning Jack Nicklaus designed course was host to Bill Gates' wedding on the signature 12th tee box.
For the more conservative, Lanai offers beautiful beaches for stunning morning or sunset walks. A simple drive around the island during lit hours will reveal incredible lookouts and great opportunities for amazing photographs of the undeveloped land and coastline. At night just walk outside and gaze at the sky which reveals sparking stars uncorrupted by the lights of big cities. A simple drive to the harbor will lift your spirits as your watch the sun kiss the horizon and produce one of the most amazing sunsets you will ever see. Be careful on the ride home because many of the islands nocturnal axis deer will be out on display. Or just sit down and snuggle up in your blanket during the winter with your favorite novel and drink, and enjoy the cool weather and silence.
Our home comfortably sleeps 6, with 2 beds in the master bedroom, 2 beds in the guest room, a single bed in the spare room, and a couch in the living room that converts into a full size bed. The bed configurations in the 2 main bedrooms can be reconfigured into 1 king size bed or 2 twin size beds to suit your needs.Fresh linens and towels are provided, as is a brand new washer and dryer and a kitchen fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a home-cooked meal, including a gas BBQ grill. Our home entertainment system includes a 55” flat screen television, DVD player, a portable BOSE speaker, WiFi, and a wireless printer. The property is 9,000 sq. ft. which includes approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of interior space and a 600 sq. ft. of covered deck space. The yard is large and level and perfect for kids to burn off some energy.
We, the Camp Ohana (family), were born and raised in Hawai’i on the island of Oahu and have recently fallen in love with the people, the beauty, and the culture of Lana’i. 1. Our neighbors are important to us and allow us to operate as a short-term rental home. It is because of their understanding that you are able to enjoy this residence. Please respect them and treat them kindly.
2. Quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Hawaii time, during which time the noise from this home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond this properties boundary during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
3. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of this home is prohibited.
4. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street.
5. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur.
6. No smoking in the house or on the porch.
