great house, very spacious and super comfortable
It was a very cold thanksgiving, sunny with snow and single digit temperature. Being in the house was delightful. The huge windows let the sun light in, it felt like being outside, by the sea. The view is the best I have seen so far (we have been to similar seafront houses in Maine). No bad surprise, everything was exactly as advertised. Expectations were high, but they were exceeded !
We would love to come back.
Location, Location, Location!!!!
We enjoyed spending time with our family in this beautiful home. The location and fall foliage were amazing. We found the home to match the pictures and everything that was promised was delivered. The owners could not have been more prepared and accommodating!! Close to great shopping and food!!! We will be back.
Fabulous family reunion and nature lover location!
Breathtaking location, wonderful hosts, private dock for our kayak and Hobie and the two kayaks provided. House great for our multigenerational gathering- cooked many meals together, enjoyed the outdoor hottub. Islands across from house teeming with wildlife including Bald Eagles, Osprey and Heron! Heron House was a hard place to leave- hope to be back!
PS- I left my prescription glasses and Betsy kindly mailed them back to me- thanks!
You folks were outstanding guests...so considerate about taking such good care of our home! We would love to welcome you back!
Perfect getaway in the perfect location. Views and location were outstanding. We enjoyed the hot tub, playing cards, and didn’t turn the TV on once . Freeport was a great base point for the many day trips we took. We enjoyed day trips to Harpswell, Camden, Boothbay, Bath, and Scarborough. We enjoyed hikes at Bradbury and Wolfsneck Farm. We hope to return. The house was great for our three year old who loved playing outside on the swing and looking for treasures during low tide. The owners were pleasant and very accommodating. The house had lost power and we did not have power the first few days. They have a generator that works great and you would never know there was no power while you are inside enjoying the beauty of the home.,
This was a great house to stay at. The owners are awesome people and we’re plesant to rent from. The house has an amazing view with a beautiful sunrise every morning. It is a quiet home with shopping 10 minuets from the home. Would come back again and strongly recommend to anyone.
Tremendous place to stay
The pictures are accurate and the views from the property were amazing!
The house accommodated 4 couples with ease and the location was quiet and convenient to Freeport and Portland.
We would stay here again. The owners where helpful and so was the property manager.
My only caution is there are lots of stairs and steps so that may be a consideration for some.
Freeport, Maine is a favorite vacation destination for families who enjoy a great variety of outdoor activities. Without leaving Freeport, you can swim at a sandy beach, play golf, hike the picturesque coast at Wolf Neck State Park, visit a bird sanctuary or a working farm, or you can discover the curious Desert of Maine.
You can have a traditional lobster dinner on the dock at Harraseeket Landing and of course you can shop endlessly in the outlet stores and L.L. Bean just a few miles into town. If you venture further north up the coast, you can visit a Maritime Museum in Bath, take an island cruise out of Boothbay Harbor, visit the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland and take in the famous works of art by Jamie, Andrew and N.C. Wyeth. And of course Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are well-known Maine landmarks on the must-do list.
Other Activities: Shopping in the Freeport outlets!
