About this property

We have hired a new cleaning service for 2024 which should address any cleaning issues that were indicated in a couple of reviews from last summer. Please rest assured, the villa will be spotless! 😊 16 Turtle Lane is a wonderful end unit with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean out the front door and a peaceful and long view of a lagoon out the back door! Sit on the oversized porch and watch alligators, turtles, herons, ospreys and many other birds as they perch on the bank in the warm sun. The 'Gold Coast' beach of Sea Pines is just steps from the front door. This comfortable and well maintained villa is in the exclusive Turtle Lane Club which is a quiet and private oceanside community. Two pools provide plenty of swimming opportunities for all family members and the nearby bike trails make biking easy! Two King bedrooms : the Master has a Stearns and Foster pillow top and the second king is a Beautyrest pillow top. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom offering plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The villa has a wet bar and 1 huge Smart TV and two other flat screen TVs with DVD players. Also, we offer free wireless internet service. Each rental comes with 2 Sea Pines Gate passes. 🙂

Communication with host was great! Location to the beach very convenient. Quite spacious. Close to stores and restaurants. Cons...smelled and felt very musty. cleaners left the kitchen counter with some kind of small oil slick on it. Twin beds squeak loudly. Floors throughout house squeak also. Very few amenities.

Pre Grad Family Trip

Had an amazing time, just wanted to get away for a long weekend before the craziness of summer sets in for our family of five. We really enjoyed the location of the property and were able to bike, walk and run to the beach and around sea pines and for coffee and breakfast. Enjoyed the VRBO setting for playing games and hanging out together. Gay was very easy to work with and was always very accommodating and timely in her responses.

Perfect Location

Great layout and perfect location for our family. Proximity to beach and pool was key. Layout worked well because all bedrooms are separated by bathroom/kitchen so no noise issues. The lagoon in the back is a great bonus when not right on the beach. Only complaint is that the property is a bit dated and could use some updates/deep cleaning in the bathrooms especially.

We are an active family of four and love all sports! We try to visit our villa as often as we can and have created some very special memories there.

Why they chose this property

My family has been coming to Sea Pines since the 1960s. We love the natural beauty and peacefulness of Sea Pines. After visiting beaches all over the world, we have decided that none compares with the wonderful flat and wide Sea Pines beach. It is great for sunning, walking or riding a bike. And the waves can be fantastic for boogie boarding! We love the bike trails, tennis and golf that Sea Pines offers, and it's all within a 5 minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Our villa is only about 100 steps from the best part of the Sea Pines beach. It has a peek-a-boo view of the ocean and a lovely view of a long, winding lagoon. Osprey, egrets and all sorts of beautiful coastal birds fly in over the long lagoon. We also love watching the turtles and alligators from our oversized porch. The wonderful bike paths are only a short distance from our front door as are two of the three award winning golf courses of Sea Pines. Harbor Town is just a short bike ride or a 3 minute car ride. We also have two pools in our complex and our villa (while not beside the pool because we wanted to avoid the pool noise) is only about 25 steps away from the larger of the two pools. Many of our renters return year after year. One of our special renters has been coming for 25 years (starting before we purchased the villa!).
