About Michele Del Bo
We are a London family passionate about both beautiful properties and skiing who has invested two years of time in renovating a listed beginning of the last century house in the Belle Epoque town of Bad Gastein. We have retained original features and made it into the ideal holiday property for skiing and summer holidays.

Doesn't meet expectations and has hidden costs
The apartment is not too far from the lift and very close to the main apres ski (Silver bullet). However it is all very steep uphill to get to both.
The most annoying thing however is that when you arrive they demand a very LARGE amount in CASH upon arrival. They won't let you use a card. Roughly half as a deposit (which isn't completely unreasonable) and half for cleaning - (the Homeway review guidelines will not let me disclose the amounts)! And that cleaning doesn't even include taking the rubbish out (if you don't they claim you lose your deposit).
Otherwise the apartment is ok - although it's more run down than the pictures show (the pictures seem all to be from the top most apartment and not the actual apartment though).
There are 3 bedrooms: 1 with a double bed and a bunk bed, 1 with a double bed and another one downstairs with a double bed. There are also 2 sofa's which seem to fold out in the living area. Everything is upstairs - downstairs is just a bedroom and a bathroom.
The coffee machine did not work and one of the ceiling lights didn't work in the big bedroom. Also - the Wifi is either not working properly or set up so you lose your IP lease every 10 minutes or so (I.e. you lose connection every 10 minutes).
The apartment is clean however and the bathrooms are nice. There are 2 bathrooms with showers.
Bad Gastein in general isn't your typical Ski resort village - I.e. it isn't as cosy as many of them. The Silver Bullet is the main (and best) Apres Ski. Many of the smaller ones seems to be mostly for seasonal workers.
I'll give this apartment 2 stars - mainly due to the annoying cash demand and expensive cleaning cost but also due to it not meeting our expectations. The caption of this apartment reads: "... Beautiful Luxury & Exclusive Ski Apartments.." which it isn't.
Well what can I say Michael, one cannot win them all.
Our apartments are by far the best quality in Bad Gastein particularly fir the price you pay.

As per the comments specifically.
The damage deposit is EUR 300 and we clearly state in the advert that is necessary, same as per the cleaning fee. What you should know that the cleaning for the apartment is actually EUR 140 and EUR 170 for the bigger ones but I only ask the guests to pay EUR 100 and EUR 120, the balance I cover myself. These are the costs of local labour in that area.
As per the problems and coffee machine, we state clearly in the manual that we gave you that "if you have problem" you should call the caretaker or myself and we always act as fast as possible to resolve the problem.
You have not done that and this is the first time I hear about the problems.
In life I find people just love to complain rather than enjoy or resolve problems.
Perhaps you are one of those !
Arriving at the CasaNeve was really a wow sensation, and with another wow it would have been 5 stars. I don't think you can arrange for better accommodation in Bad Gastein, unless perhaps you choose to stay at one of the best hotels available and pay a lot more, if you are 4-6 people. You won't miss anything and the standard is really excellent.
CasaNeve is an old charming house right in the centre of Bad Gastein and close to just about everything. Lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, and shops, a thermal bath (Felsentherme) and the Stubnerkogelbahn within a few more. As the walk to Stubnerkogelbahn is uphill, I recommend you to use the ski depot right next to the bottom station. The charge for both skis and boots are around 20 Euros per person for a weeks stay, and it's definitely worth every penny not having to carry them to and from the apartment. If you travel by car, as we did, you won't have to use it at all during your stay. Just park it in the nearby garage, or even on the street just a bit uphill from CasaNeve. Be prepared to carry your luggage a few meters when you arrive, but then you're all good and can a relaxing and/or active stay in Bad Gastein :)
Great and convenient stay at Casaneve
First of all, our caretaker helped us out a lot. He was really helpful when we arrived, and also assisted us throughout the week. This was a great courtesy.
The apartment was really nice, clean, open, and cozy. We had everything we needed. We were 8 people there, and everyone was able to sit around in the table for dinner, which was really great.
There was a 5-10 minute uphill walk to the lift. Great warmup nonetheless :-)
I would definetely recommend Casaneve to anyone going for skiing in Bad Gastein.
Very nice appartment in Bad Gastein
We rented the apartment in April one River view close spacious and lovely apartment in 2 levels
the ground floor hallway large living room with both lounge section and a combined kitchen and dining room - and in the basement which is a semi-basement there are 2 lovely spacious and bright bedrooms and a nicely WC and bathroom -
The apartment is very funtionel and well appointed and we had a fantastic Christmas in these surroundings

Eine Wohlfühl-Wohnung in Bad Gastein
Wir verbrachten Anfang Oktober 2013 zwei Wochen in der Wohnung "Valentina" in Michele Bo' s Casa Neve und fühlten uns rundum wohl. Wenn wir im Abstand von einigen Wochen immer noch mit großer Freude an unseren Urlaub in Bad Gastein zurückdenken, dann ist dies auch der schönen Unterkunft zuzuschreiben. Die Lage des Hauses ist optimal; Restaurants gibt es in Sichtweite. Die Dorfbäckerei befindet sich gleich um die Ecke. 5 Minuten sind es zum Bus (und zum Wasserfall) und gute 10 zum Bahnhof. Dass es dabei immer rauf oder runter geht - wie generell in Bad Gastein -, nimmt man als Wanderer gerne in Kauf. Das Haus und die Wohnungen strahlen eine besondere Atmosphäre aus; speziell im Falle "Valentina" ergibt sich ein besonderes Wohlgefühl durch den offenen Dachstuhl und die vielen Fenster. Die Wohnung hat auch, was nicht in der Beschreibung erwähnt ist, zwei kleine Balkone inmitten einer interessanten Dachlandschaft. Die Eigentümer haben es verstanden, das historische Gebäude und die Wohnungen liebevoll und stilvoll zu renovieren - die Verbindung von ursprünglichen Bauelementen mit moderner Ausstattung und ist unserer Einschätzung nach außerordentlich gut gelungen. Die Qualität der Ausstattung ist durchweg hoch; man hat, auch bei der Auswahl der verwendeten Materialien, viel Geschmack bewiesen. Was zunächst ein wenig irritierte: Eines der beiden Schlafzimmer hat keinen "richtigen" Kleiderschrank, sondern nur einen halbhohen Schrank mit Schubfächern, was der Dachschräge geschuldet ist. Ein Problem war das für uns allerdings nicht, zumal im Vorraum einige Kleiderhaken installiert sind. Hilfreich wäre für Neuankömmlinge ein kleiner Grundbestand an Zucker, Salz, Gewürzen und dergleichen - aber das findet man in anderen Ferienwohnungen auch nur selten und wäre für den im Ausland wohnenden Eigentürmer auch nur schwer darzustellen. Mr. Del Bo nebst Gattin haben wir nicht persönlich kennengelernt - aber wir finden ihn schon allein von der Korrespondenz her sehr sympathisch und völlig unkompliziert. Alles in allem: Selten haben wir im Urlaub so nett und angenehm gewohnt.

Needless to say that now we have salt, pepper, some basic washing machine tablets, etc. Since we do not leave in Bad Gastein but abroad for us it's always logistic the problem and not money, and it's always the little things that turn out to be the more difficult to take care of. We will have to find a creative solutions for the wardrobe :-)

The prices are quoted in Euros per apartment per day and/or week on a self-catered basis. The price includes: rent, value added tax, initial fitting out of bed linen & towels, heating, electricity, water, wireless internet connection, one parking space in the public car park (we provide free WiFi, however it can only be 3G WiFi so it is not meant to be for heavy usage and please be patient in case of any connection problems). Not included is the tourists tax/card, final cleaning, any food and toiletries soaps etc. Tourists tax: Euro 3 per person per day (children under 15 years of age are tax exempt). Compulsory final cleaning per Apartment April and Valentina is €100, for Apartment Livia is €120 and for the whole House is € 320. Parking: one parking space per each apartment in the public park house is included in the price, extra parking maybe available upon request (please speak directly to the KEY HOLDER to arrange this). Use of electric ski boot driers, washing machine and tumble dryer is free of charge. Extra linen/towel sets are available upon request at an extra cost of €10 per linen set and €5 for towels set. Any extra bed on top of maximum capacity included in price is charged at €20 per day. Baby cots are available upon request at €40 per week. High chairs may be available upon request. Payment: 30% payment at booking and the balance 6 weeks before check-in date (we accept Visa and MasterCard, bank transfer and Paypal. For Paypal there is a 3.6% extra charge). Refundable security deposit: €300 payable in cash at check-in (refunded in cash at check-out). No pets allowed. No smoking.
