Spectacular vacation choice!
We returned to Côté Safranier again this year and as in prior years found it perfectly appointed, bright, airy, cheerful, clean and ready for our visit. It is a comfortable apartment with a full line of quality amenities (towels, kitchen utensils, local maps, etc.). It is in a safe, well lighted, interesting and walkable neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants and shops, just steps away from the local farmers market. The host is friendly, helpful and caring - if we need a suggestion for anything, they are there with it! If you like what you see on the website, you will like what you see when you arrive.
Charming indeed, clean, great location
Every attention to detail made for a most pleasurable month long stay in this quaint apartment in Côté Safranier! The bedding is superior, lots of hot water for showers, comfortable sofa, very well-equipped kitchen where we cooked many meals, immaculate, availability of Netflix is a bonus, ample storage space for clothing and luggage, and located in the heart of old town - a great location to access beaches and train station (to go to nearby Nice, Cannes, St. Paul de Vence, Cagnes sur Mer). The provencal market, steps from the apartment door, is a daily event! Tom and Paul even provide a wicker basket to carry your purchases.
Good use of space in the design of the apartment, along with tasteful decoration, made us feel at home. A pleasant surprise was the availability of beach towels, mat and umbrella that we made good use of at the beach just a short walk from the apartment. Suzanne greeted us at the apartment and gave us a thorough orientation including gifts of wine and food items to get us started. Suzanne, Tom, and Paul were responsive throughout our stay if we had questions. The booking, checkout and return of deposit was all handled professionally and with promptness. We highly recommend the Côté Safranier apartment and would return in a heartbeat!!
I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who is looking for high quality accommodation on the French Riviera. I believe it would live up to the expectations of even the most discerning client. It is situated on a beautiful, quiet, pedestrianised street in Old Antibes within minutes walk of a wonderful market and the multitude of shops and restaurants of the town. The apartment itself is very well equipped. I appreciated the attention to detail such as the Nespresso machine, the tasteful bed linen and throws, the Netflix subscription, the Occitaine products in the bathroom, the really decent hairdryer, the beach umbrella and pre-prepared beach bag complete with towels, not to mention the "panier" to make you feel like a local as you shopped in the market. The owners were super-helpful from their regular communications, to their recommendations for places to eat and to visit, as well as the gentleman of a taxi driver they suggest to pick you up from the airport. An excellent holiday was had here for a week this August and I look forward to returning in the near future.
Clean, Comfortable and Convenient
Paul and Tom clearly understand what many travellers are looking for, and they've got it right. We stayed for 9 nights in mid April. The apartment itself was clean and well appointed, with excellent bedding, and quality fixtures and appliances. The L'Occitane toiletries and Apple TV are a nice touch, and the Nespresso machine was invaluable first thing in the morning. We particularly liked the balcony overlooking the narrow laneways for our morning coffee or evening drinks.
The apartment is a short walk to the Antibes Provencal Market, patisseries, boulangeries, restaurants, underground car parking and specialty shops.
The communication with Paul and Tom in advance of the stay was good, and the package of information provided upon arrival was informative. Their Manager - Suzanne - provided a good orientation to the apartment upon arrival and was always available by phone or text to answer our queries.
Overall, a comfortable and rewarding experience. Well done Paul, Tom and Suzanne!
Beautiful apartment in the heart of Vieux Antibes
The apartment was exactly as described and perfect for our 5 night stay in Antibes. Paul and Tom have thought of everything visitors might need during their stay, and it was all expertly explained by their onsite manager, Suzanne, who met us on our arrival. We soon found our way around the winding narrow streets - somehow managing to come back to the apartment a different way each time, but always finding it! It was the perfect spot to tour Vieux Antibes, being steps away from the Marche Provencal, stunning coastal walks and many superb restaurants. It is also a great base from which to tour the neighbouring areas along the coast, such as Nice, Cannes, Juan Les Pins, Monaco, as well as stunning hilltop towns like Mougins, St Paul de Vence and Eze.
We took Paul & Tom's recommendation of parking at the spacious underground Les Pescheurs carpark on the harbour - a mere 5 minute walk from the apartment. Booking the parking online before your trip will not only save money, it also makes existing and entering a lot easier.
We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone looking for a vacation in the South of France. Tom and Paul provided excellent information prior to our trip and on arrival everything was above and beyond what we had expected.
Sun, sea, food and Picasso in Antibes
We were lucky enough to discover Cote Safranier on line and our experience was really fantastic. My 17 year old daughter and I wanted to enjoy some sun and sea but also to enjoy the French way of life and particularly to enjoy buying local produce and to cook at home so we were looking for an apartment with a kitchen. The one we found was in the old quarter of Antibes, two minutes walk from a boulangerie and market and very close to the Picasso Museum and Cathedral. We were contacted by the owners who kept us informed re travel, security, local services, good restaurants, best beaches, markets and taxis. A lady representing them welcomed us and was on hand if we needed her - in fact everything in the flat was so good (and clean) we didn't! It was a week of relaxation and fun in a very attractive and cosmopolitan town. We would definiteIy return there.
Cote Safranier provides an ideal setting to enjoy the charming cobble-stone streets, casual cafés and beaches of Antibes.
Plage de la Gravette is located 10 minutes from the property. This small beach is great for families with young children as it is very safe (sheltered from waves by a small breakwater). Antibes also boasts several private beaches with casual restaurants and beach seating available. Visitors should also explore the larger beaches at Juan Les Pins, on the opposite side of the Cap d'Antibes, as well as its many restaurants and speciality shops.
Cote Safranier is located close to Antibes' traditional Provençal market. Rosé wines, olives, lavender, seafood, cheeses, fresh vegetables are among some of the regional specialities available to delight shoppers.
Guests should also check out the cathedral and the old ramparts of Antibes. The town has several museums, the best of which are the Picasso Museum and the Peynet Museum.

Rental includes Luxury bed linen and towel use, free phone calls within France and wireless internet access. - Two week rentals and longer include weekly linen-change and house cleaning. - High Season (900 Euro) rates apply during the weeks of Christmas and New Year (Dec 21 to Jan 4) - Rental period is normally from Saturday to Saturday, however, shorter breaks as well as different check out dates can be arranged during off-peak season. - Half of the rental is payable at booking and the rest together with a €300 Euro security deposit one month before arrival. The security deposit will be returned within 10 days after departure. .
