Wonderful Location for a family holiday
We stayed at Villa Ambar form 25/5 /19 for one week. The villa is huge, perfect for the seven of us. There was plenty of space , which meant that we were not all tripping over each other. All amenities were provided making it like a home from home. The Hot Tub was a big hit with everyone. It is a good 30 minute walk into the centre of Playa Blanca which sets you up for excellent food and wine in many restaurants. We took taxis back to the villa at night, it cost only €3.75 for the journey. There is a little supermarket attached to the hotel behind the villa, but only use it for water etc, the Superdino in town near the bus station is very well stocked with everything you will need. We had a BBQ one night and the built in BBQ is great. Thank you for opening your home up to my family, I think that we will probably be back.
Damp bedrooms, unsafe surroundings, ant infestation in the kitchen and down through the celing
Amazing, relaxing and beautiful.
Loved the property. Huge space and well organised rooms with plenty of storage. Swimming pool and hot tub clean and warm. 5 minutes walk from Montana Roja and easy drive to everywhere. Playa Blanca is definitely the better choice resort wise. Brilliant choice and would recommend to everyone.
We had a really lovely stay in Villa Ambar,Vista Lobos for a family holiday. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Great location, lovely views and a really lovely house,
Spacious, clean & modern
First of all we had an easy check in from Daniel, who was extremely informative about the villa and area. He was also very quickly on hand for a minor electrical issue. We were also able to check out late which saved us waiting around for two hours.
The villa was larger than we expected and a good size for our party of 6. Two bedrooms are upstairs and two down, so would suit two families. It was spotless and the bathrooms are very nice, although hot water is slightly sporadic. Kitchen isn't huge, but doesnt really matter if you are BBQing or eating out. Nice views of the sea in the distance (over rooftops) and mountains to one side. Although there are several villas around, they are staggered down the slope so you dont feel hemmed in. The pool area is very private and not overlooked, even by the adjoining villa. The hot tub was fantastic, especially as the pool was too cold for some of us. Great to know that the hot tub is emptied after every changeover. Nice built in BBQ and dining area. Also, we received a great Xmas box filled with chocolates and goodies, which was lovely.
The only negatives for us were that it is too far to walk to much (small hotel supermarket 2 mins walk away with food basics and taxi rank is near/about €4 to town), the wifi is very temperamental and the kitchen utensils a bit basic. Also, although there was a welcome pack, it would be good to have a few basics like washing up liquid, salt/pepper etc. It has quite a few steps and no gate to separate the pool from the rest of the outdoor area, so may not suit toddlers.
These were only minor things and overall I would highly recommend the villa.
Lovely Spacious Villa
We stayed here in August 2016, the villa was lovely, very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a two week stay.
The property is alarmed which we thought was a nice touch as we felt safe leaving our valuables behind when we left the villa. The only thing that we would have liked would be a safe to keep our money and passports.
There was a small shop a few minutes walk from the villa, this was great for picking up a few bits but a bit too expensive for the main shop so we tended to get a taxi for around 5 Euros to the Spa shop in town.
The villa was a lot further inland than we expected. When we booked it looked like it would only be a couple of minutes away from the promenade with the bars and restaurants but it was actually quite a trek - about 15 minutes walk to flamingo and 30 to playa blanca. However there was a taxi rank a few minutes walk from the villa and also a bus stop which we used frequently.
The pool and the hot tub were both cleaned very regularly and any issues we had were sorted straight away.
All in all this is a great villa, I can see it being perfect for big groups or families holidaying together. If in a group we would definitely book again but unfortunately it was just too big for the two of us!
Playa Blanca is a beautiful old fishers town located in the south of the Lanzarote Island, from were you can see the near Isla de Lobos and Fuerteventura. A regular ferry departing each hour during the day offers you to reach there in a 20 minutes tryp.
In Playa Blanca you will find a shopping area with a large selection of restaurants and bars suiting every taste and price.
The Beach Promenade takes you to the trendy Puerto Marina Rubicon were you can find brand new designer shops and lovely sea front nice little bars and restaurants.
In the area we can find different beaches like Playa Flamingo, Playa Dorada and in only five minutes car tryp, amazing Papagayo Beaches with their smooth white sand. A few minutes car tryp allows us to reach El Golfo and it´s black sand beach, go to La Geria to indulge yourselves with some wine tasting o to the amazing parque Natural de Timanfaya to see the vulcanos and have a funny camel riding.
