Why Ruth Guven chose Milas
Our holiday home is a comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with balcony and spectacular views overlooking the Aegean Sea. The complex boasts swimming pools, a jacuzzi, a cafe, a children's playground, a gym, a sauna and a tennis and basketball court and is within walking distance to the beach. The apartment is set within a well-maintained site with security and a help desk for peace of mind. The site is never too busy or overcrowded - finding a sun lounger is never an issue! Being situated outside the throng of Bodrum - it is peaceful and cooler than the centre town - the cooling breeze is very welcome in mid summer and the views - especially from our balcony are magnificent.
What makes this Apartment unique
We will never tire of the view from our balcony and bedroom windows. Eating, drinking, relaxing and watching the sunset from the balcony make for the perfect holiday. The site is quiet, safe, well-maintained and has a help desk run by friendly staff. There is a perimeter fence and 24 hour security personnel at the entrances.

A Beautiful Spot for a Relaxing Family Break
We are now sadly back home after a lovely stay at this beautiful apartment on the Regnum Bargylia complex.
The apartment itself was very well equipped for us (as a family of 5) and the owner went out of her way to ensure that we had all the necessary details about both the apartment, the complex and the local area. Guidance on where to go for supermarkets and local restaurants was so very helpful.
The views from the balcony are stunning and the sunsets just unforgettable! There is a lovely shared pool at the complex, which we all enjoyed. And the small beautiful beach is just in front of there, with a pontoon to swim out to (which my children particularly loved).
Another great feature was the luxury of breakfasting at the Cook Taze patisserie at Club Bargylia! This is highly recommended for Turkish breakfast and afternoon pastries. It also comes with amazing views!
In terms of exploring the area - we hired a car in the end – as it gave us more flexibility and meant that we could travel to Gulluk, and Bodrem and "eat out" easily too (which was relatively inexpensive, given the FX rate at this time).
We travelled to Bitez Beach and managed a boat trip from the Bodrum Marina too. The children also did some dinghy sailing at a water sports centre near there, which was fantastic.
Lots of happy memories.
We would certainly recommend!
Beautiful location great apartment
Great views from the lovely apartment set on a hill facing out to sea. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Excellent pool area with 2 kiddies pools plus new play area. Private beach with jetty and clear water you can see the fish. The restaurant serves good food and there’s a delightful coffee and cake restaurant overlooking the beach. Tennis court and gym. Easy to get around sight seeing either by car or bus. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable and very relaxing. On sight staff are polite and helpful.
Many thanks Jo!
We had a fantastic stay at regnum bargylia! The apartment was really comfortable, with a beautiful view of the bay. The resort was lovely, we enjoyed lying by the pool and on the beach which were both only a couple of minutes walk away from the apartment. Bodrum was also easy to get to, only half an hour away on the bus. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect stay with the most amazing view
My wife and I and our two young children (2 and 6 years old) stayed for five nights in this apartment. Before we arrived, the owner furnished us with detailed information about arrival, the apartment and the surroundings. We found everything to be as described. We came by car and found that to be helpful to get around the area and for driving into Bodrum city (although it's not totally necessary). We have traveled to many different seaside areas in Turkey and this was by far the most beautiful we have seen. The apartment is built in a complex on a hill overlooking the sea. It provided us with gorgeous sunset views. Golf carts run regularly during the busy season taking people to the parking lot at the top or the pool and beach at the bottom. The kids had a blast in the large pool and kiddie pool. Both were clean and well maintained. The beach was a bit rocky on the shore but gave way to soft sand as you swam out into a small, private bay. We bought our food from the local markets or grocery stores and the apartment was stocked with everything else we needed. There is a restaurant beside the pool. We only tried it once for an English breakfast which we found to be very tasty and not too expensive. Bodrum city has a lot to do and many places to eat, but it was nice to be able to escape back to the tranquility of the apartment which was about a half hour drive from the city. We hope to go again!
Many thanks for your wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
Bargyila is located near Guvercinlik and is ideally situated, being only 15 minutes from the airport and 35 minutes from Bodrum town centre. Guvercinlik is a fishing village and is about 10 minutes away by car or taxi and here you will find shops, supermarkets, post office, cash machine and an excellent weekly market on a Monday. Many a pleasant afternoon and evening can be spent at the restaurants and cafes by the sea front which are also excellent value and cheaper than Bodrum town.
Other local villages on the coast worth visiting for good restaurants are Bogazici and Gulluk and they are situated between the airport and Guvercinlik and are also about 10 to 25 minutes away.
You can travel around in a 'dolmus' which run more frequently through the summer. These are shared mini-buses and very cheap.
The ruins of the ancient city of Bargilya, Tuzla lake and the Vita Park Golf Resort are just 5 minutes away.
Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders overlooks the harbour and the International Karada Marina. The castle grounds include the Museum of Underwater Archaeology and host several cultural festivals throughout the year. In Bodrum you can also visit the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the amphitheatre also hosts musical events.
For water fun then visit the Bodrum Aqualand in Ortakent. Or if you want to go further afield then take a day trip on the ferry to the Greek island of Kos. Or how about going to Yalikavak to see the Windmills?
In Bodrum town there is also a lively nightlife. The old market is open seven days a week for clothes, leather goods, shoes, and souvenirs.
