Overlooking the beach and the Gulf of Mexico, Treasure Island 601 makes the most of its stellar location. Because the condo is a corner unit, it offers a 270-degree view of the white sands and the blue-green waters. What’s more, its huge wraparound balcony is accessible not only from the living room but from all 3 bedrooms as well. Wake up to the sight of seabirds swooping and soaring over the sparkling waves; sip cocktails while watching the fiery sunset over the gulf; fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the surf.
Treasure Island 601 has plenty more going for it as well. For one thing, it’s appreciably larger than your typical beachfront condo. The open living area is spacious enough to encompass 2 sitting areas and a multitude of sofas and settees. The whole gang can hang out together—watching a movie on the 48” flat-screen TV with DVD player, reading, playing games, surfing the web via the free WiFi—without feeling cramped. The 2 walls of windows overlooking the gulf certainly add to the wide-open ambience.
The dining area is equally roomy, with a table that seats up to 10 people. There’s also a breakfast bar that seats 4—perfect if the kids want to eat on their own while the adults treat themselves to a more leisurely meal. The open layout extends to the well-equipped kitchen. Even while you’re cooking a feast—or simply mixing a batch of margaritas in the blender—you can join in on the conversation and gaze out over the gulf waters.
Not only do all 3 bedrooms open directly onto the balcony, but each has its own TV and ample storage as well. The master suite features a king-size bed and a private bathroom with twin sinks. Each of the other bedrooms has a queen-size bed. These rooms share the 2nd full bathroom. Up to 4 more guests can stay in the living room: A sofa opens into a queen-size bed, and 2 oversize armchairs convert into twin beds, enabling Treasure Island 601 to sleep 10 people in all. What’s more, the condo will allow one well-trained dog weighing less than 30 pounds to join the fun. (Please note that if you bring your dog, you’ll be charged a nonrefundable $250 pet registration fee upon arrival. Don’t like dogs? Rest assured that the condo is thoroughly cleaned after each visit, so you’ll never know if a dog had been in the unit.)
Other amenities of Treasure Island 601 include a washer and dryer right in the unit and the use of 2 padded beach chairs and a sun umbrella during the high season (usually late March through early November). The chairs and umbrella will be set up for you right on the resort’s 420-foot stretch of beach.
Treasure Island also boasts a 120-foot-long seasonally heated beachfront pool. After your swim you can dry off on a poolside chaise or seek out the shade of a gazebo. If you’ve worked up a thirst, you don’t have to go far to slake it: There’s a poolside café during the high season. Treasure Island has a fitness center too, with treadmills, elliptical machines, and free weights. Post-workout, treat yourself to a soak in the outdoor spa. The complex also has a pair of charcoal grills on the poolside deck and 2 gas grills on the deck outside the 3rd floor of the parking lot. Speaking of parking, the covered lot is connected to the building via 5 covered walkways. Upon arrival, you’ll receive parking passes and wristbands that entitle everyone in your group to use the facilities, all in exchange for a one-time $20 registration fee per condo.
From late May through mid-August, Treasure Island 601—like many other Panama City Beach condos—rents only by the week, with a Saturday arrival. But once you’re here, you’ll find that even a week is nowhere near long enough for a stay. See for yourself: Make your reservation today, and get ready for the Florida vacation of your dreams.
