Leo and his wife were very welcoming , the villa was homely and clean. The pool was very welcome and well maintained.
It was quite noisy late evening , when the local entertainment got going.
Die Ferien wahren sehr schön, das Haus sehr schön und sauber. Leider hat die ganze Zeit das Internet nicht Funktioniert, was sehr schade war.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review and visiting our undiscovered part of Italy.
Our apologies for the internet not always working at its best but unfortunately in this area, this can sometimes happen.
Marina di Camerota and Local Area
During your holiday, why not go sailing, or rent out a boat, go walking, or canoeing down the River Bussento, or even go fishing.
From Camerota there are public fishing boats which provide a good shuttle service at a very low price, to some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches of the area as well as to the magnificent natural bay of the “Infreschi”.
Finally, there are a variety of typical restaurants where you can sample all kind of local specialities ranging from fish to pizza.
The Campania Region
On the coast, tourist places like Palinuro, Marina di Camerota, Scario , Policastro and Maratea are renowned for the crystal clear blue sea water. Marina di Camerota and Palinuro is where Aeneas landed in classical times.
There are a number of beaches , north and south along the coast. Most beaches are free of charge and directly accessible at many points by car.
The climate is ideal : mild during the winter and of course, hot in summer.
From SIRENELLA COMPLEX, it is well worth visiting the blue grottoes at Palinuro, the National Park of the Cilento, Pertosa, famous for its underground grottoes, the beautiful Certosa (Abbey) of Padula, and of course, the ruins the Greek Colony of Elea (Velia) and Paestum with its majestic temples.
The world famous Pompeii is certainly a day trip not to be missed and why not spend anothe day in Naples and visit the Royal Place and the wonderful Capodichino Museum.
Nearer, why not visit San Giovanni a Piro with its monastery, Morigerati and its spectacular waterfalls and Policastro with its wonderful cathedral.
Further south , not to be missed, the picturesque village of Maratea, with its South American mystical style Statue of Christ perched on the mountain and Maratea’s characteristic harbour where yachts of all kinds can be admired.
Further inland the beautiful medieval town of Teggiano is certainly not to be missed. Lastly, if you wish to relax by a lake , why not drive up to the beautiful Lake Laudemio where you can have a lovely typical lunch.
Therefore not just nature, but history and culture as well.

Cars can be hired at any of the airports; the Autostrada (motorway) del Sole lies some 40km from Marina di Camerota.
