Perfect location for boat-lovers to enjoy Island Park
One of my favorite destination rentals due to the ability to come and go on the boat on a whim as well as and the beauty of the area. Absolutely serene in the morning. Very few boaters came by even on a busy Labor Day weekend as the cabin is tucked away. My kids loved fishing and kayaking off the docks and my wife and I would bring out the lawn chairs to the docks and enjoy taking it all in with a cup of Hot Chocolate in the morning. We especially loved spotting both a golden eagle as well as a couple of bald eagles a few bends north of Lake Lodge. We will be back!
Note: the neighbor let us know that in many years the water level drops to where the boat dock is unuseable in the late months of the year, so it may be a good idea to check water levels before you book in late August and September if you plan on mooring your boat.
We loved our stay!
We had a wonderful time! Nice cabin. Enjoyed being waterfront. Everything went well. We would definitely rent this cabin again.
We were visiting Island Park for a friend's wedding at Lakeside Lodge. We originally booked a room there, but had second thoughts. A month before the wedding I found this listing on HomeAway. Darryl was highly responsive and helpful. It made the trip so much more enjoyable to be able to have our own private space. The cabin was sparking clean when we arrived. Everything was in good working order. Our daughter loved playing in the sand and splashing in the lake. Lakeside Lodge was a short 1/2 mile walk away. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. We just had our family of 3 there, but easily could have had a second family with us.
I’m so glad you enjoyed yourselves, Bill’s Island is a special place. Your kind comments were greatly appreciated and I’m very glad our cabin was comfortable for you and your family. Hope to see you again!
We loved and enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, cozy cabin!
Cabin was well equipped with all the necessities! Breathtaking views and even saw a moose with her baby early morning!
Thanks so much for the kind words and we are very glad you had a wonderful time. Hope to see you again in the future!!
Perfect for family vacation
Beautiful setting. Clean and comfortable cabin. Delightful deck overlooking lake and private dock.
Cute cabin but needs some cleaning and more kitchen supplies. Really loud road noise
We stayed at this cabin while visiting Yellowstone. It was about a 45-60 min drive to Yellowstone. The cabin was cute and right on island park water. However, the linens and blankets for the beds (particularly the bedroom downstairs) were filthy. I had to wash the bedding before we slept in it because there were obvious stains on the bedspread...yuck! Lots of ants in the kitchen. Also, there were limited supplies in the kitchen: for example not many big bowls and no wine opener or wine glasses. This is a great place to stay if you are into 4 wheeling. Lots of 4 wheelers everywhere. But if you arent be prepared for lots of 4 wheeler noise at all hours. Even at midnight when we were trying to sleep we could hear them right outside our cabin. It wasnt as peaceful as we expected from the pictures or write up. The swingset in the picture was completely broken and the dock seemed to be on its last leg. But the kids had fun skipping rocks in the water. If this cabin got a good cleaning it would have been a lot better and we would have enjoyed our stay more.
Our apologies to you if the cabin wasn't what you expected. We have addressed your concerns about cleanliness with our housekeeper. She is extremely caring and takes her job very seriously and this is the first time we have ever heard of anything but rave comments on the cleanliness of our cabins. The swing was broken by previous guests shortly before your arrival and we have it on our plan at the end of the season to either do a proper repair or remove it, but we didn't want to bother future guests during their stay, so we have it planned for after the rental season. We have dealt with ants when we have stayed there too and do so when they appear. As the weather warms, we have found it's part of being in the mountains and outdoors. Lastly, sorry about any noise. It is a summer playground for all types of toys,; boats, atvs, jet ski''s etc and with most water front properties, land is limited and cabins/homes are in close proximity to each other.
