Great place !!!
This is a great place to stay. It's out in the country but not too far away from some great places to visit. This cottage is very large and clean. Grace the property owner couldn't have been any nicer even though we were really late getting in. We'd love to come back and stay again sometime soon.
A great house and surroundings Will be back
Girls Away Weekend
Very pretty cottage. Lovely fire and seating area. Nice table to eat round.
However - house was very cold on arrival; no toaster; no coffee pot; one modest size open pan; only half the underfloor heating worked; bath upstairs had really slow flow so ended up having bit of a birdie-bath! Others all shared the one shower.
Many self catering places have welcome packs with local info about shops, eateries, doctors and so on plus info on local walks, history, wildlife. Not essential but a thought.
Wonderful spacious house, very clean lines especially upstairs. 3 bedrooms all en-suite
Stayed over New Year. Nice to be remote, away from it all and away from light pollution.
Owners and family very friendly. Turned out to be in tea growing Perthshire. Plenty to enjoy even in depths of winter.
Have to confess apprehensive about the weather - snow kept off, but was -7C during one daytime.
Free heating and lighting most welcome (having paid out £50 for same for a week in Braemar in July!
Must return in other seasons.
Lovely cottage with really good facilities in a gorgeous and secluded location.
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Cosy and warm, modern and bright with fabulous views from every window. We loved the huge log burner as an extra cosy heat source and focal point especially when gathered on the sofas playing board games. A big thanks to Grace for bringing us milk during the snow days. The children had such fun building snowmen and tracking the new animal prints, in the snow outside our cottage, each morning. Were they the sheep or hares we saw each day on the hillside, roe deer or the cat? As well as walks from the door there is lots to do in the surrounding areas, beautiful scenery everywhere which just adds to the pleasure of your trips out. We stayed local as visiting family in Fearnan and enjoyed walking The Birks of Aberfeldy, The Crannog on Loch Tay, The Birks cinema in Aberfeldy and the village and restaurants of Dunkeld. All no more than 30 minutes away. So many more things to do further afield and a draw full of leaflets and OS maps with ideas at the cottage to tempt you!
Lovely spacious barn conversion with fantastic hosts
We got stuck in deep snow along the narrow driveway but the owner rushed along to help us with our bags and push the car into a safe parking space. Very helpful and accomodating. The place itself is a lovely warm barn conversion in a beautiful setting. Bery rural but only a short drive some great towns. Will be booking again in the future.
You are perfectly situated in the heart of Perthshire for exploring this wonderful area. We are 12 minutes drive from Dunkeld, one of the most beautiful villages in Scotland. The famous towns of Crieff and Aberfeldy are approx 10 miles away.
The property is situated in Beautiful Strathbraan near the tiny village of Amulree in Glorious Highland Perthshire. It is surrounded by stunning scenery, Hills, Mountains, Rivers and Lochs nearby. We are an ideal base for touring Perthshire and much of Scotland, Edinburgh Airport and St Andrews are within an hours drive.
