Villa in Pernera
The villa was perfect for our two families. Spacious, 5 bedrooms, adequately equipped. The pool was great, and there were sunbeds for everyone, a big plus. Nice outdoor seating area.
Nice beach just 10 minute walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a fantastic time at the villa. Very spacious with everything you need and more. Ari the owner is more than accommodating and was more than happy to get us groceries for our arrival and arrange transport from and to the airport. We all loved the pool. Local amenities are within walking distance but if you are not a keen walker then s hire car is a must. We arranged our own hire car but the owner could have done this for us if we wanted. Highly recommend this fantastic villa.
Good villa, equiped, clean, and great facilities
We enjoyed it a lot.
5th room is in the basement, with separate entrance from the main house
I have to say the pictures do not do this justice. The property is very spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. I would highly recommend this villa for larger groups. The area is just gorgeous, its quiet and close to a quiet beach with boat trips and restaurants. The villa is also very close to a more lively area and a small taxi or bus ride away from the amazing fig tree bay and nissi beach. I would say the location is just perfect. We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful villa and would hope to book again soon.
Happy experience for us all!
The size and facilities of the villa and especially the swimming pool, made it ideal for our family of ten (including 4 children). The assistance we received from Aristotelis made everything easier and more pleasant.
Perfect in every way - great for our extended family
We booked for a group ranging from 17 to 84 year olds in our family group of 9. The contact from the beginning was excellent by email, with later telephone calls before, during and after our stay. The owner was helpful as was the property manager, even offering to help arrange transfers.
The villa was extremely well equipped inside and out. Inside the kitchen was great with plenty of equipment (coffee machine, sandwich maker etc) as well as plenty of cutlery and utensils and plates etc.
There was a cupboard of games, books to read and DVD’s as well as local guide book. From the outset we felt as though we were staying in someone’s home which is a rare treat and helpful when travelling in a mixed group like ours.
The beds were comfortable, with effective air conditioning throughout and the whole house had shutters to keep the heat of the day out. Plenty of storage for cases and clothes hanging as well as dressing tables (with hairdryers)
Bathrooms and showers were great, room to move and good showers with plenty of hot water from the solar panels along with a boost button to heat more if needed (we didn’t) .
For those travelling with young or elderly the stairs (inside) were safe and good handrails for stability ( unlike some with uneven steps or no handrails) Ground floor bedroom a real bonus.
The basement worked perfectly for the teenagers to have their own space.
Outside was incredible. Plenty of shade from the pergola and 3 large sun umbrellas but still plenty of space for the sunseekers among us! The pool was amazing, large, super clean, non slip tiles all around and easy access steps - we spent ALOT of time here. My mum loved exploring the palms and fruit trees and flowers in the small garden. There were 3 separate seating areas around the house with loads of chairs and cushions.
Location really was 5 minutes from a small and beautiful beach with a great cafe ( very laid back and local) and snack bar at the other end. Also sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. This is very much a local beach with the beach next to the Golden Sands ( just a couple of minutes further round) being more touristy with boat hire and more cafes ( and people). This area had great restaurants and bars with a really laid back vibe. All age groups loved it here with the teenagers accessible to Ayia Nappa and Water Park. We checked out along the coast towards Fig Tree Bay and much preferred this location. Quieter and super friendly.
Book with confidence.
Beachside or poolside relaxation.Within 300 meters to a Blue Flag beach,500 meters to bus stop with regular schedule, only a few minutes from nightlife of Protaras and Agia Napa, few minutes by bus to Waterworld Water park.
Once an area of scrubland on a narrow coastal plain between Cape Greco and Paralimni, Protaras is now a modern resort boasting some of the islands finest beaches. With a shoreline of brilliant blue sea, small sheltered sandy bays and rugged cliffs, both sun worshippers and watersports enthusiasts are catered for. Lying between Paralimni and Protaras, is the smaller family oriented beach resort of Pernera, although smaller and quieter than neighbouring Protaras the resort still has plenty to offer.
The villa sits on a exclusive cul de sac tucked between the small sandy cove of Sirena Bay and the beach adjacent to the picturesque fishing harbour by the well known Golden Coast Hotel. With five restaurants, two snack bars and three mini markets within 800 metres of the villa, whether you choose to self cater or dine out your needs are met. For a more lively option the centre of Pernera is only 1.5 kilometres away and it is here that you will find a wide variety of restaurants offering both Cypriot and international cuisines and the sandy bay of Marlita Beach.
Although car hire is highly recommended for all our villas to help you make the most of your stay, there is a regular bus service that connects Paralimni to Ayia Napa via the resorts of Pernera and Protaras.
The increasingly popular Kapparis area, a little under 3 kms away, stretches from the town of Paralimni down towards the coast. The best beach in this area is Firemans Bay, a golden sand cove so named because local firefighters can occasionally be seen training there in the early morning! In the centre of Kapparis village, you will find a well stocked supermarket and a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars offering a good variety of low key entertainment.
Approximately 6.5 kms away, in the centre of Protaras is Fig Tree Bay the most well known beach in the area. With its clear and shallow turquoise sea and fine golden sand, this beach understandably appeals to both visitors and locals alike. By day Protaras is a sleepy beach resort, coming alive after dark and offering a wide range of friendly restaurants, cosy tavernas, bars and shopping opportunities to suit the whole family.
Ayia Napa (approximately 15 kilometres away) once a small fishing village was more recently promoted as a clubbers paradise with a varied and vibrant nightlife concentrated in the towns central square. Families are rediscovering the delights of the resort by steering away from the square and spending days on the beautiful blue flag beaches and mellow evenings strolling the pedestrianised harbour area and dining at one its selection of cafes and restaurants.
Take a break from the beaches and occupy your time by exploring the surrounding villages sprinkled with windmills and small churches. Dominating the Protaras area on a solitary rock outcrop is the chapel of the Prophet Elias. A climb of many steps is needed to reach the top of the hill, but worth it as you will be rewarded with an amazing view of the Protaras coastline. As the nearest town to the now deserted settlement of Famagusta, Deryneia is possibly best known for its view of the ghost town, which, once a major tourist resort, now lies empty.
Family activities in the area include the magic dancing water show with its spectacular 12 metre high fountains “dancing” to Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Greek music and an Ocean Aquarium which boasts more than 400 different species with the main attraction being the penguin house. Ayia Napa boasts the biggest themed water park in Europe with exhilarating rides providing fun and entertainment for all age groups.
Outdoor activities in the area include mini golf, water-sports, go-karting, horse riding and hiking or cycling along the network of nature trails and specialist cycle paths through the Cape Greco National Park.
Pernera in Cyprus is probably not one of the best known resorts on the East coast but it is certainly one of the nicest. Nestling below a hill this pretty little town has plenty to offer and holiday makers return there year after year.
The main street sweeps right down to the sea front where there are several sandy bays protected by stone outcrops. These are perfect for bathing and snorkelling in the warm crystal clear Mediterranean waters. Being so well protected these bays are great for families with small children and there is plenty of shallow water for the little ones to paddle in. In essence Pernera is first and foremost a beach holiday resort and the bigger hotels actually front right onto the bays. Lovers of water sports will have plenty of activities to get their teeth into including wind surfing and water skiing to name just a couple.
