Nice apartment, strange location.
We have stayed in the villa in august 2016. When we arrived at the airport we were picked up by a limousine arranged by the owner of the apartment. This was a very nice surprise. The taxi drove us towards the villa and handed us the keys. Apparently the driver and the owner knew each other. The apartment was nice and tidy. The owner had left some water bread in the refrigerator for us, because we arrived late in the evening.
The location of the apartment was kinda strange. You had to drive into a sandy road, next to building area for new houses. The road was kinda dangerous with big holes in the middle of the road. Especially when you arrive at night, and you didn't have a change to see the holes in daylight.
The apartment is about 500 meters away of a small supermarket. This supermarket has everything you need during your stay. The restaurants and bars are also about 500 meters away.
although we never met the owner of the apartment, he was very helpful. As earlier mentioned he filled the refrigerator before we arrived and when we locked our self out, he arranged a locksmith within half an hour. On the departure day we were allowed to stay in the apartment for some extra time, so we didn't arrive at the airport to early.
The apartment was clean and the airco's worked perfectly. We only had some small imperfections there was a non functioning dishwasher and we didn't get the light near the swimming pool working. Other than that the apartment was very well, and i can recommend your this apartment if you want a calm stay near Ayia Napa. The bar street is about 10-15 minutes with a Taxi (€10,-).
Overall a nice apartment with a nice owner.
Ayia Napa is located near the south east tip of Cyprus close to the beautiful nature reserve of Cape Greco. Cyprus’ moderate climate and geography has throughout history made it a desirable location. Ayia Napa’s golden white sandy beaches and Safe, shallow, calm and crystal clear water have made this coastline a true paradise. It was once a small fishing village clustered around an ancient monastery and was later hailed as the Ibiza of the Eastern Mediterranean, has in recent years toned down its clubbing image and reformed itself into a resort for all the family.
Ayia Napa offers a fantastic selection of diverse restaurants catering to every taste. The picturesque harbour is very well known for its fish cuisine and is also frequented by the locals.
The medieval Monastery - located central to Ayia Napa, built in 1570 by the Venetians.
Nissi Beach - 4 km from the harbour. A pure white sand beach and turquoise water with a variety of water sports on offer.
Macronissos Beach - On the outskirts of Ayia Napa. The water is very shallow and great for families with small children.
Cape Greco - Located at the most eastern point of Agia Napa. Its views are stunning, rugged shoreline in contrast with sandy beaches to the west, sea caves, cliffs, and sparkling blue waters. Great for diving, snorkelling or just sitting back and watching the view, also a favourite with cyclists and walkers.
Marine Life Museum - Located in the lower level of the Town Hall the museum was the first of its type to focus on the past and present aspects of the island's marine life. There is an excellent fossil collection as well as a photographic exhibition including a reconstructed seabed dating from the dinosaur age.
Thalassa Municipal Museum of the Sea - Situated next to the CTO Office – worthy of a visit. Thalassa or The Sea is the exclusive theme of this museum. Artefacts, vases, statues, sculptures, seascape paintings by local and Greek artists and other exhibits are on display but the main highlight is the life size replica of the 3rd century BC Kyrenia merchant ship which was discovered in 1965 on the seabed off the Kyrenia coast.
