Modern studios in former horse stable! The original stable dates back more than a hundred years. It has been renewed and re-purposed as 11 studio condos in the middle of everything but still quiet and tranquil. These units are laid out well with a good sized bath, walk-in closet, functional full sized kitchen with breakfast bar and a combo living room/ bedroom. Gated and locked entry takes on a New Orleans feel when you walk into the courtyard. Dedicated Parking Spot included.

The building is located at 118 Dock Street next to the Hotel Tarrymore and is quietly located 1-2 blocks from all of downtown's restaurants and shops and is within one block of several popular wedding venues.

Been coming to Wilmington for many years for dinner and drink weekends. Found Jim's place and knowing the area I was excited because it is right in downtown. Wm far exceeded our expectations. Cute place in an old horse stable from the 1920s. Common area was a great place for a pre-dinner meet up and we were able to connect with a few others staying in the old stables. Fun. Thanks, Jim - you are our new go to place in the historic district.

Recommended for: Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway.

The location was excellent. The apartment could use the carpet cleaned and check for mildew urine smells. The patio could also use a cleaning.

Great stay, excellent location!

We stayed at the Liveries for a week in a studio apartment/condo - this small but very functional condo is in the heart of downtown Wilmington - you have everything at your fingertips from a grocery store across the road to a British pub right next door with live coverage of soccer games (I was in heaven as I am from the UK). The condo was quiet, clean and well appointed and communication with the owner was excellent - Jim Walsh responds to questions and queries quickly and ensures you have all of the information ahead of time to ensure an easy check in - it is small but perfect for the singleton or couple - Wilmington is a wonderful little city - we were surprised at the number and variety of restaurants and brew pubs - all in all a great week and I would highly recommend the property.

Great Location- Easy Access

We stayed in downtown Wilmington for the weekend and this place made everything so convenient. It's a block from many restaurants and things to do. Also very easy to get around and head out to the beach.

The studio is well kept definitely meant for two but comfortable and provided everything you need.

Convenient to everything

Studio was the perfect location. We were in town to visit family and wanted to stay downtown close to restaurants and activities. This was the perfect place. The property was very clean and well furnished. Perfect size for 2 people. We would love to stay here again. Check in and checkout were easy and convenient. The owner was extremely friendly and always a quick text or phone call away if you had any questions.

As advertised, plus

I rented this studio from mid-January to mid-February 2016 and, if circumstances had permitted, would've stayed longer.

My communications from Jim were prompt, professional and courteous. Eventually we met and even had time for a friendly beer.

The studio and its location are as advertised; they aren't hyped. Although there was some low-level noise for a short time on some weekends, the studio was very quiet. It was clean and well-equipped (kitchen and bathroom especially). The on-site laundry facilities were very convenient. It's in the historic district (good for long and peaceful walks). Coffee shops, bars, restaurants and a small store are a stone's throw away. The river and its boardwalk can be reached in five minutes on foot and the ocean/beach in fifteen minutes by car.

All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to rent here again.

Great Place

I rented from the owner Jim, very easy to communicate and responds if any questions. The place is very nice and so convenient to downtown Wilmington, go out your door and walk to all the nice restaurants n cozy downtown bars...The Apt is very clean and has all needed supplies, linens, towels and there is laundry on site so that's a big plus, everyone was nice and friendly, met a lot of great people....Thanks Jim, I would definitely rent again!!!
