5 months there...
I have been there for 5 months, the appartment is very quiet and in a beautiful area. You can reach Hyde park in 5 minutes and you have two different tubes station very close supermarkets and a very lively area where you can find everything.
It is at 4th floor so you have to get used to going upstairs,
You can see beautiful sunsets from the window. Some problems with the WiFi becouse the router is not too close to the apartment. There were two washing machines but only one was working, but you can do your loundrey during the weekend without any problem.
But it’s a good place where to stay.
I stayed this flat for 4 months.
Owing to the help of the staffs, I could enjoy London very much.
Sometimes, reply to email was slow, but it was very smooth for an important contact.
In particular, I appreciate the owner's prompt response when I lost the key of this flat.
Thank Liz and her staff very much for helping me for 4 months.
Fun and cool place to stay, but don't expect the owner to do anything
The apartment is accurately depicted in the photo, it's an "efficiency" aka "studio" and everything is compact but functional. The west-facing windows have a superb view of sunsets. Leave the two sash windows largely open to keep the place cool during summer days. It gets *very* dusty, so plan on dusting often. The Bayswater neighborhood is vibrant, fun, and varied; Hyde Park is a quick walk and a great place. There are two nearby tube stops (Bayswater and Queensway), a large Waitrose, "Planet Organic", a Barclays Bank open on Saturdays, a great bike shop (Evans Cycles), good shopping in nearby Notting Hill, and a wide variety of restaurants: Persian, Lebanese, Chinese, Thai, Greek, British-pub, etc.
The agent is "book your place" a London-based rental agent. They are really very friendly and clearly want to help and do the right thing. Twice, when it was necessary, they actually sent someone at 8 or 9 PM to handle an issue, and I was very grateful (thank you Simon!) …
… but the owner is EuroGulf, and they are not very engaged with the renters. It took them eight (8) days to get someone in to do the plumbing to turn on the hot water in the sinks (the hot water in the shower is one of those UK electric-heaters, and worked fine the whole time). If you stay a long time, keep an eye on the electric meter (to the upper left of the door) which indicates how many £ you have left. Other requests also took either eight days or were never fulfilled. EuroGulf are engaged in a major renovation of the common hallway (Aug-Sept 2016, at least), and never bothered to inform anyone that it would occur or when they thought it might be done. The laundry room consisted of one working washer and one working dryer, for 17 apartments (there are nearby wash-n-folds and dry-cleaners). The landlord is an irascible authoritarian who dislikes bikes, and falsely claims that Westminster has a rule against parking them on the property (contrast many of the nearby buildings and https://www.westminster.gov.uk/cycling-toolkit). It's of course his right to ban bikes from his property.
Centrally Located, Clean, Great Value
My sister and I stayed for three nights in this studio and it more than satisfied our needs. The hosts are with a rental management business, and were very easy to get ahold of if we had any questions. The apartment was clean and tidy, and had all of the needed cooking utensils to cook our own meals, which we took advantage of. We chose this unit for its close location to a Tube station, and it was within a 2 minute walk, less than two blocks away, and a short ride to all City Center tourist locations. It was also a reasonable price for a studio apartment in Zone 1. The only negative was that it was located on the fifth floor, so lots of stairs to climb with luggage, but otherwise, it was a great place to stay.
Bayswater is a very popular location to live in London. It is surrounded by Hyde Park, Queensway, Notting Hill, Lancaster Gate, Paddington and more. The area boasts plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. There are grocery stores on the main road and fast food places to grab a quick bite. Whitley's Shopping centre also very popular with residents and guests in town.
For public transport Bayswater tube station is 2 minutes walk. Queensway tube is 4 minutes walk and Royal Oak tube station is 10 minutes walk. There is multiple London bus stops offer simple and convenient connection to the popular sights in London.
For example is takes less then 15 mins to Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Baker Street, Piccadilly, Mayfair and Kensington. There are so many places to go and things to see in London.
If you don't have much time then our accommodation is set in the middle of town, so you do not spend all day travelling from out side of central London.
