Great Location, Very Hospitable Owners
Our family of 4 greatly enjoyed this rental! The Lower Garden District was walking distance to the WWII museum and some great restaurants and coffee shops. We were also a walking distance from St Charles st for the trolly.
This area gets you away from the craziness of French Quarter but still has a hopping vibe. We were a $10 Uber ride from the Quarter when we did want to enjoy it.
The owners were really hospitable and available if we needed them. Our kiddos also bonded with Rio and said he was the best vacation pet they ever had.
Lovely home. Super comfortable and accommating.
First NOLA Trip
Very comfortable and clean. A few minute ride to all the action but the perfect getaway from all the chaos! Rio is absolutely amazing and loves dancing! Would definitely stay here again.
Love the Orange House!
This house was just what we needed for a law school graduation/family get together. It has great charm, vibrant colors, and is well appointed. The neighborhood is safe and has some really fun places to go., and the house is centrally located to most everywhere you need to be. Rio is fun to watch too. We would certainly stay here again.
Thank you so much for the kind words, William! We really enjoyed having you all stay at the home. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us, and hope to have you back at some point!
This is a great house! Unlike most shotgun houses, this one is standalone and u do not share walls w/strangers. The kitchen is beautiful and probably as modern as allowed. There is one modern bath and one vintage. The claw tub is a little tricky for seniors and I don’t recommend it for over 65. The back yard is like a sunken garden and is beautiful. Parking is “NOLA typical”, a challenge, that’s the only downside, Street only parking so if u find a space, don’t move, Uber, Lyft or streetcar it. The bird Rio is a special treat and loves to entertain but respect his space, that beak could be deadly. We would definitely recommend this house.
Thank you so much, Bev! It was a pleasure hosting you and your party. We appreciate how communicative, kind and easy going you all were!
We hope you all had a great time!!
Wonderful Location! A true taste of New Orleans life
The house was charming and very comfortable. The front porch was fantastic for watching the world of New orleans stroll by. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our only comment was that the kitchen was not well appointed for cooking, as we very much enjoy doing. The staff next door that manage the property were very nice and accomodating, and Rio the McCaw was an added delight.
Truly one of New Orleans most sought after locations, the Lower Garden District offers an array of activities within easy walking distance. Magazine Street is known World Wide for its hip atmosphere, shopping and restaurants. The National World War 2 museum is only 3 blocks away. The French Quarter is 12 walkable blocks. The New Orleans Convention Center is 5 walkable blocks. St. Charles Avenue and its historic streetcar is 3 blocks, also the route of most major Mardi Gras parades. The Louisiana Super Dome is about 12 blocks. Both Tulane & Loyola University are about 4 miles and on the streetcar line.
