Great location, great place for big gatherings

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in the house. It's in the woods up on a mountain, quiet place. It has plenty of space for a lot of people, the dining room table was appropriately large. Kitchen had all the tools you needed to cook for a large crowd as well. Would definitely consider a return trip!

The home is well appointed with very comfortable beds. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

The six of us had a very fun time together to celebrate 50years since graduating from UBC together. Despite some miscommunication with the lack of cleaners upon arrival, the owners were able to cheerfully rectify the problem quickly. The accommodations were perfect for us, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, the neighbourhood was quiet and there was time for a nice hike up to the ski area. We enjoyed our time exploring a new area together.

Try this one!

Great property for extended family weekend. Well supplied with everything we needed (including water and food dishes for our dog!👍?🏽?). Thé only challenge was the open, log house design was not great for providing early, after dinner, quiet time for sleepy toddlers. We really appreciated having sat TV for Olympics coverage! We will be back!

Excellent cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed staying here. The log cabin is cozy and tastefully decorated; it was neat and well-furnished. Although we brought a lot of our own things along (utensils, sleeping bags, extra blankets), not knowing what exactly to expect, we noted that the owner had provided and plenty of kitchen utensils and extra blankets. The cabin's kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Dana has supplied detergent and dishwasher tablets and mostly everything that you might need in your stay.

The power went out for 2 of the three nights that we stayed; the cabin stayed reasonable warm thanks to the wood-burning stove, which we used not only to keep us warm ( everyone slept in the main hall in sleeping bags on the floor and on the sectional), but also to reheat our food and to make tea and hot chocolate.

this gorgeous cabin got the full 5 stars for the first night's stay. I'd have given 5 stars after the remaining 2 nights too- but to be honest, by the time the third night rolled round, I was a bit cross from having lost sleep trying to keep the fire alive two nights in a row to keep the little kids in our group warm. As it was the dead of winter, the cabin got cold very quickly if the fire went out. To be fair, this is no fault of the owner's - as the power was out in the entire region.

In view of the frequent power outages that take place here, I do feel that the cabin ought to have one and/or the other of the following: a back-up generator and perhaps a landline phone. The network here is poor and I worried what we would do if there had been an emergency.

Nevertheless, this is a cabin that I would book again with pleasure next year - with or without electricity. A generator would be a welcome bonus, but even without, it's a beautiful and cozy cabin to stay in.

A memorable trip for sure.

  • 4 of 5

Stayed 2 nights over New Years. When we arrived there was a fresh of hot coffee made to welcome us! There was ten of us so we filled every bed except the pull out couch. There isn't any insulation betweeen the floors so it's quite noisy for the ones who go to bed early or try to sleep in. So just make sure your clan is on the same routine and all good!
