Beautiful crafted small home with attention given to every detail. Our guests enjoy sitting on the porch viewing multiple long-range mountains. During the evenings families gather around the outdoor fireplace to share stories and make new memories. The spa is located just outside double glass doors of the master bedroom - a refreshing way to spend time enjoying the views and fresh mountain air. When entering into the home the workmanship of hand crafted furniture is immediately noticed. The dinning table is made from locust, maple and mountain laurel branches; the bedroom has a queen bed and nightstands made from locust post and mountain laurel branches. The loft area has custom made twin beds. We have a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Start making your mountain memories for a lifetime today!

Adorable cabin with excellent view !
Had a lovely time at Gentle Bear ! My favorite part of the cabin is the front porch. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The view was what sold me on this cabin and it was as I hoped.
Very clean and cozy, with beautiful views!
We enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck and the hot tub. It was a different, beautifully streaked sky every evening!
Perfect Getaway Location
We had an amazing time during our stay. The view was great! Plenty of local things to do and see. We will be back to visit again!!
Perfect 15 Year Anniversary Getaway!
We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location to everything we wanted to do. The cabin was nice. We loved the hot tub and the beautiful view. I would recommend.
Beautiful cabin! Just what we wanted. The directions from Karen were great! The drive up was a little steep but we managed. Overall I LOVED it and would highly recommend staying here.
We loved our stay at Gentle Bear Lookout! It was perfect for our family of four - the kids especially loved their own space in the loft. Any issues we had were taken care of immediately. Chester was so nice to come over late one evening to change out the batteries in the smoke detector! The cabin was clean and seemed to be about a year old - very new. I am definitely glad Karen suggested we arrive in the daylight the first time, because it would be difficult at night to find. Also, while a 4WD may not be required, I was glad that we had one. The location was also very convenient to the GSMNP, Bryson City, Cherokee and several river activities. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
Many visitors enjoy trying their luck at Harrah's Casino, fly fishing in designated trout waters, lake fishing, hiking on the many trails in the area, riding the train, and enjoying the quaint small town of Bryson City.
