One of the best locations in the complex !!!

This Fairly New Condo, sits across from the Beach, was finished in 2007. This condo was professionally decorated using modern design with a bit of Mexican flare...This unit has everything to make a fantastic vacation. Facilities have 6 pools sprinkled throughout the complex. The closest pool/jacuzzi is 15 ft. from the front door and over looks the Hotel Zone/strip. New "El Pescado Plaza"...7 new restaurants. Our condo complex has there own entrance gate the drops into the Plaza and the first stop is the coffee and deli having onsite restaurants....

Included is: shampoo,bath soaps, try to keep coffee stocked, along with some basic cooking spices, purified water, hair dryers are among some of the things not check on list. Renters can enjoy a Library of Books, Board Games, Playing Cards & Movies,Satelite TV,vcr,dvd,stereo w/cd player, use of ice chest, backpack, and beach chairs. Nice size patio with funiture and Gas BBQ.

Located very close to the downtown area. The Unit is located on the Mayan Palace Golf course and just a few steps away from the beach(just across the street...a 2-3 min. stroll), great restaurants,shopping,water activities,fishing,ATV riding, site seeing. Property a little smaller than what I imagined and compared to other condo's I've rented in the area. But literally what you see is what you get, which isn't a bad thing. But overall, lovely condo a little noisy in the morning time with maintenance but nothing that drove me crazy. The only issue I had was no internet access in the actual unit. Internet only worked if you were near the pool. Management was very helpful with resolving this issue for us. But this is critical when you have teenagers or young adults that live on social media and have out of the country travelers.

Owner's Response: Yes, its just a 2bd, 2bath....the pictures do tell the story. Ya, if you unlucky enough to rent on the days when they do the lawns, not much you can do to escape the sound. Regarding the Internet; we have address that and are getting quotes to have a line installed. I'm thinking its going to happen by the end of July? Looking at getting a new TV but that won't happen until Oct. when we come down again. Thanks for your only makes us a better vacation landlord.... Cabanajacks and Friends...

Very disappointing stay , poor accomodations

Our stay was riddled with break downs, fix ups, and things just not working. This unit is in bad need of maintenance and an upgrade. The pictures online are old and do not give the true look of the place. First thing on arrival was a door fix by my husband in the kitchen cabinets, literally falling off the hinges.

Second , the towels were so grey and worn we thought we would wash them before use , only to find that the washing machine we were assured we would have had a bad leak and leaked across the deck floor. The blender was sticky, dirty and broken, all the acrylic glasses were cracked, the BBQ was chipped ,and grundgy , we had to use foil on the top rack to even use it, one of the 'two' chairs inside broke on first use, the patio table was literally falling apart, too many old dusty books and movies also old and some cases were empty, would be better to not have them there at all. TV on the counter taking valuable counter space is simply silly but their choice. The manager was very prompt and within the first week she replaced the BBQ, the blender and brought new glasses for the poolside, had the chair taken away and fixed several days later, also had her fellow tighten and fix patio table , unfortunately the washer was taken to be repaired on day 3 and never returned until 3 days before we went home. Understand that our stay was a month long stay and a washer was crucial, we made several enquiries directly to owner to assure us there would be a washer so that we could pack accordingly.

Our first week was really quite terrible for the price that he charges. We never did get to use the washer , by the time they returned it we were already on pack for home mode so took home all dirty laundry, and had to leave a mountain of dirty towels. Just terrible really.

The location is good, close to many things, the people in the area and the condo development are really great , friendly and helpful. They even called us once to wait for the arrival of the fixed washer only to sit and wait the whole day after which I contacted the manager to be told the part was actually wrong and could not be fixed so they reordered it and we had waited for nothing.

We were very patient at first even understanding to some of the issues , but after trying to deal with the constant break downs and poor state of the unit for a month we can only say DO NOT rent this place.

Owner's Response: Yes, there were a couple of unforeseen malfunctions that need to be addressed and were taken care of as soon as it was possible. The guest claimed there was a hinged on one cabinet that was coming off that she said they fixed it. I was told by the property mgr. it was a loose screw that needed tightening. Towels, I have over 20 white body towels or more. Purch. 6 hand towels, 6 face, 2 body,6 pool towels...those we purchased before that guest arrived. Stock in Mex. is limited, not like USA. We did not know Blender was put away by previous guest was broken...I just purchased a new blender same day we found out. BBQ was working fine, just a older unit. I didn’t argue with the guest, I just decided to buy a new one and had instructed the property mgr. to donate the old one to a family in need. Had new BBQ in 2 days. Patio table is not falling apart. Guest didn’t like the pool plastic cups, said it looked like it was spiderweb cracked but did not leak. Bought new set same day or the very next day. I think the real issue was when the guest tried to do some laundry, that is when we discovered there was a leak coming from the washer. As soon as the guest emailed me this information, I asked my property mgr. to send an appliance person out. The washer needed to be fixed and was sent out, & part ordered. Mexico does not have spare maintenance parts, they have to be ordered. When the part came in, it was the wrong part and had to be reordered. That was very frustrating and it took longer than what we wanted. But I could not do anything hands were tied. I even offered to pay for a professional cleaning service but she did not want to do that. Again, easy fixes, I just bought replacement items same day or next day but some things had no control ...and that is Mexico for you and some folks don’t always understand why it takes so long. Things in closets selves are not my personal stuff, they are for guest use, Movies, books, fishing poles, ice chests, beach chairs... I had a little talk with the property mgr. and instructed her to tell her cleaning crew, that they need to advised us if they see things need to be replace or fixed and I think that was part of the issue. So she agreed to advise and hopefully this will allow us to be more proactive on the little thing. Folks, its not my goal to upset folks, does me no good...and usually try to resolve any issue that pops up in the fastest possible way.

Property Hiccups

This unit is in a good location...close to the beach, shops and restaurants and also to transit, taking us to downtown San Jose del Cabo; even an easy walk home after dinner in town.

The condo is a good size but in need of some serious purging of personal items stored there by the owner, so clients have room to store their own belongings.

Many small upgrades could have made the stay so much better, like adequate and newer towels and linens for kitchen, bedroom and bath. Also, a good purge of unnecessary items stored in kitchen cupboards would make room for the few groceries we brought.

It is in a very central location in the complex, which makes it convenient, but also quite noisy. Gardening staff could easily be heard very early in the morning just outside our bedroom window. The patio was very private and quiet and has a nice BBQ for an easy meal at "home".

The pool area and grounds were lovely and we enjoyed spending time by the pool.

The property Manager did her best to remedy a few issues and was so great to deal with!

We are still trying to imagine this suite accommodating 6 people...4 at best really.

We would not stay here again unless upgrades/changes would be done.

Owner's Response: I can appreciate the guest saying they thought we needed some purging of personal items...Those personal items they mentioned in an email (books, CDs, videos) are for guest use and are stored out of site, either in a closet or bottom cupboard but not in clear site. I have kid toys, fish pole, beach chairs, ice chest as well, all for guests use. Some things might be personal but I would think that is ok since it my vacation condo that I also use. I will take their advice and replace towels...I buy only white and when I was down in Cabo last time, none of the local store had any white towels, let alone quality ones. However, they should have seen 6 new color bath towels and 6 new pool towels I had the property mgr. buy. Anyway, I have already purchased white towels and bringing them down on my next trip to Cabo. They also wanted to see wine glasses there...and my concern with that is, many folks want to take them to the pool and for safety issues, the HOA said no glass allowed by the pool. Pretty much the same at most pools. My condo will sleep 4-6 depending on sleeping arrangements, if you are family or individual couples. I have a queen bed in both bedrooms and a queen sofa bed in the living room. All that said, glad to get the feedback and I will look at making the improvements where I can....thanks, Jack and Loretta..

Beautiful property

i had a great stay at this condo. Everything was as advertised. The condo was spotless and the pool was right outside the door. The property manager will leave a cellphone for you to contact her if you need anything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo to everyone. Thank you Jack.. It was a pleasure dealing with you.

My stay was enjoyable and Club La Costa is a great family vacation spot. The condo is spacious, but the pull out bed is not comfortable and the main bedroom beds could be upgraded to king.

Owner's Response: I tend to agree, the sofa bed is not as comfortable as a reg. bed....I would only typically use it for a back up or smaller kids. I will consider upgrading to a King size in time for the master the time I purchased, it was very difficult to find King size so I bought queens and upgraded on next time....thanks for the feedback....Jack and Loretta...

Thanksgiving Gift

We really enjoyed this condo! Neat, clean, comfortable, and almost everything we needed. Everything worked except satellite TV and Wifi, and with a teenager, there is only so much reading that can be done. It was within walking distance to beach, market and downtown. Jack was easy to communicate with, along with Esther the property manager, who was very helpful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your gracious....Yes, sorry for the TV...since the Hurricane, on and off situation...I came in right after you and I called into the Dish Network folks and advised them of the issue...I think the Dish need moved to pick up signal...but it will get better.
