Why Dennis Reynolds chose Masseube
It is on flat land only minutes away from a small town with all amenities. It is quiet and private but not remote. The whole house has undergone modernisation and renovation, completed in 2012. The pace of life is very pleasant with no overcrowding or queues. The whole area is a gastronomic delight, the speciality being duck (confit and magret de canard) and duck and geese livers (foie gras). Armagnac is a popular tipple and the local wines are called Madiran.
What makes this Apartment unique
Apart from the food and drink and the pace of life, the property enjoys excellent views of the Pyrenees to the south and to hills and farmland in all other directions. There are no immediate neighbours yet Masseube centre is only 1.5 kilometers away.It is an ideal base for exploring the area.

Masseube is only 2 minutes away. It has all commercial facilities including cash machines, bars, cafe, restaurants, pizza take-away, petrol stations, garages, supermarkets and a large municipal swimming pool and camp-site. There are also several pharmacies, doctors and vets. Seissan, 10 minutes away, offers more of the same. Bigger shops are found in Auch, the county town, 20 minutes away.
There are markets every day within a 45 minute drive. The recommended ones are Auch, on Thursdays, Lannemezan (25 minutes) on Wednesdays and Mirande (15 minutes) on Mondays.
Further afield the Pyrenees offer a wide range of activity depending on the season. Our favourite is Loudenvielle (75 minutes) with spa and lake activities, but there are many more.
Lourdes, the centre of pilgramage, is 75 minutes away and Pau, an historical city, just beyond. The coast at Biarritz can be reached in 2 hours.
