The hip-strip is a friendly, warm, quintessentially Missoula neighborhood, and a great way to experience the town as the locals do. This modern decorated loft is only moments away from everything Missoula has to offer. Steps from the Clark Fork River, University of Montana, diverse dining, coffee shops, and the best ice cream in Missoula. The historic HO Bell building was renovated in the 2000 and features reclaimed pine floors, a gas fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and an amazing skylight.
This loft is a hidden gem, just off Higgins in the heart of the Hip-Strip. Just a short walk across the beautiful Clark Fork River and you are in the heart of downtown Missoula. The loft features reclaimed pine floors throughout, a gas fireplace for cool evenings, and thoughtful decor with personal touches like books, games, and artwork collected over the years. Both bedrooms feature new Helix Sleep mattresses, the most comfortable mattress you will ever sleep on, and the queen sofa bed features a memory foam mattress. Floor to ceiling windows allow for great views of the sunrise over Mount Sentinel, and the huge skylight ensures the loft always feels bright and warm. While you are only moments from all the excitement downtown Missoula has to offer, being across the river allows a bit more privacy and quiet.
Guests have access to the entire apartment. We ask that you let us know whether you intend to use one or both of the bedrooms, as this will affect cleaning time after you check out. The loft also has a convenient parking spot right outside the unit door.
You will access the unit through a door on the ground level after obtaining a key through a coded storage access. This means that check in can be more flexible, as you don't need to arrange a specific time for a key exchange. If you would like us to meet you at the loft for check in, that can be arranged as well.
Note: The unit is on the second floor, so there is one flight of stairs leading up to the loft.
The hallway leading to the unit is shared with one other residential unit and one commercial real estate office. I ask that you are respectful of my neighbors, as this is their home and place of work, and they are all friendly, welcoming Missoula residents!
A short walk brings you across the Higgins Bridge to downtown Missoula and right to the University of Montana. It's a short, lovely, quiet walk through the University District or along the Clark Fork River. The famous M Trail hike is located on the east edge of campus, and is a great way to take in a stunning Montana sunset. On summer evenings it seems that half the town has made the trek up Mount Sentinel to gaze out over the city and watch the valley glow.
