Didn't Even Know I Was Homesick
Walking in the front door of The Cottage was like coming home to a place I didn't even know I missed. It was the perfect place to spend time with the girls during BYU Women's Conference. Heather went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, even leaving out bedding for an air mattress that we planned on bringing, but then ended up not using. The house was exceptionally clean and so well decorated, just enough to feel at home, without feeling overwhelmingly cluttered. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with the necessities to prepare and eat any meal. Check out was a breeze, with no long check list, which added to the enjoyment of our stay. We would totally consider staying here again.
perfect cottage for our needs!
Beautiful, convenient, well stocked home.
Beautiful home in a neighborhood yet convenient walk to restaurants.
Kitchen had everything we needed over Thanksgiving week, and Heather thoughtfully stocked kitchen with turkey pans.
Enjoyed watching movies in the TV room and playing games with the family.
Had a wonderful week and would stay here again.
Perfect, clean, and great owner!
We were evacuated from our home while on vacation because of 2 wildfires, so when we came home we were scrambling to find a place close that would house our family and be close to work. We found this cottage and it was perfect. We weren’t sure how long we’d be displaced from our home and Heather was great to work with us. She was available and easy to get ahold of. She went above and beyond to get our family taken care of on such short notice.
The cottage was clean, decorated with cute simple things, and Heather (the owner) went above and beyond! Her husband brought over games for the kids to play, there was a nice selection of DVDs, Netflix was available on both TVs, and there was ample supplies and room for all of us. Linens were stocked and plenty of soap available for washing laundry and dishes. The fridge was roomy and clean. There was even a bag of ice in the freezer for us which was nice. I also loved the coffee maker available with mugs and to-go cups stocked. That helped on my work mornings. :)
This is a cottage so expect a kitchen for a cottage. It’s cozy, but workable. There were plenty of pans and kitchen stuff for what we needed. If you plan to do basic cooking you are covered. I loved the dishes and there was plenty of silverware. I have 4 kids and I was nervous that they’d break the nice dishes, so we purchased some kid-friendly bowls and plates which was no big deal.
There was working WiFi, a TV in the family room and one in the Master room. I was happy to see a bathtub which made bathtime easy with kids. The cottage was built in the 30s and they did an amazing job with the remodel and it was so nice that AC was in the house. It is cute and comfortable. The driveway is also very long which made it nice to get all of our vehicles off the road. Parking on the street is available which is also nice.
The house is a nice central location to restaurants and visitor sites. If you eat on Center Street, give El Salvador a try. Their papusas are incredible. We also liked Brasas for their tacos. Both are quick driving distance or a 15ish min walk.
If you are in Provo, this is a great place to stay. It is exceptionally roomy, especially for what I expect from a cottage. We were so comfortable here and it was a second home while we were waiting to get back to ours. Thanks for the great stay and for helping our family get settled! This was an exceptional experience.
Adorable Cottage Retreat near Downtown Provo
This cottage was perfect for our needs. Located near the Provo Center temple and downtown, with easy access to freeway and BYU campus. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms gave us room to spread out with our kids instead of being cramped in a hotel room. Kitchen is stocked with dishes and supplies you would need. A/C kept us cool even though the Provo weather was warm. Wi-fi included. Adorable home. Comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed staying at this charming cottage! It was fun walking to downtown Provo amenities and strolling through the lovely neighborhoods! The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed!
