Large bright apartment
Great location just below the castle and the Royal Mile.
Great location and wonderful condo!
This warm and lovely apartment met our every need! The host Val and property manager Ashley were most helpful with any questions we had prior to our visit and during our stay! Close to everything but just away from the hustle and bustle! Look left as you exit the apartment for a stunning view of the castle! Can not recommend this enough! Great kitchen and most importantly comfortable beds!
Perfect location and lots of space
Beautiful flat in historic Castle Terrace. Right by Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and the theater district. Can't think of a better place to stay in Edinburgh.
Close, but off the beaten track. Nice bakery with amazing scones just up the street. Convenient grocery store. Good kitchen. Beautiful natural light. Spacious, comfortable bedrooms. I would give it 5 stars except that the heater wasn’t working, bathroom doorknob wasn’t attached, loose threshold into living room, keys were missing from the key box when we arrived (but Ashley graciously rescued us). The lack of heat was the only real inconvenience for us. Overall, it’s a lovely flat that I would stay in again.
Will stay again!
We absolutely loved the flat. Updated kitchen and bathrooms, lots of space, high ceilings, and a fabulous location. Sainsbury's market is only one block away, and the road leading straight up to Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile is across the street. The abundant Saturday farmer's market is also just around the corner! We had an easy time communicating with the property manager via text with our questions. There was a problem with one of the showers which was resolved with a visit by the plumbers, all coordinated by text messaging. There were plenty of towels, dishwashing liquid, washing machine tablets, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Very compfortable. Can't wait to stay again. Liana M. (USA)
Castle Terrace is a luxurious apartment in the heart of Edinburgh.
This attractive property is located in the historic Old Town district at the foot of Edinburgh Castle. Steeped in some of Edinburgh’s greatest history. The Grassmarket is only minutes walk away from the apartment and to the popular Royal Mile. The apartment is conveniently located for Lothian Road which has a wide and varied range of amenities including shops, restaurants, bars and bistros. Stroll along the old George IV Bridge, where you’ll meet the famous Greyfriars Bobby, before walking through some of Edinburgh’s oldest and most photographed streets including Candlemaker Row, Victoria Street, West Port and our famous view of the great Edinburgh Castle. A vibrant and popular meeting place for visitors and locals alike, you can soak up the medieval atmosphere and enjoy its splendid views of the nearby castle. The area is well served by buses, the new City tram service and an express bus runs from Waverley Station to Edinburgh International Airport. The railways stations of Waverley and Haymarket
This incredibly beautiful city is easy to explore on foot. Princes Street, The Royal Mile and the lively Grassmarket are a few minutes walk away. For outlying attractions (The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Botanic Gardens, Dynamic Earth etc) the hop on hop off tourist bus stops a few metres away. Every Saturday there is a farmers' in Castle Terrace. This will satisfy anyone wishing to taste Scottish fare with porridge, croissants, bacon and Angus beef burgers and cheese to sample. If more serious self catering is on the agenda you will find Scottish cheeses, venison, fresh fish and seafood, smoked salmon and haddock, Aberdeen Angus Beef, lamb and mutton.
The nearby restaurants and bars are too numerous to mention and will suit every taste and pocket.. The Castle Terrace Michelin starred restaurant is just next door, the Usher Hall and theatres just behind the apartment. Despite their close vicinity you will get a good night's sleep as the location of the apartment is not on a main thoroughfare for traffic or revellers.
