About Michelle Sbabo
We have called Arkansas home for most of our lives. Michelle graduated from Bentonville High School and Bryan originally hails from Little Rock. We have traveled extensively with our jobs and for leisure, and we think Northwest Arkansas offers the total package when it comes to places to live. This part of the state has always been a natural showcase of rivers, lakes and wooded mountains. And of course, we are home to some of the world's largest companies. In the last several years, we have proudly watched the area blossom into a destination for fine arts, culinary crafts, and single track biking - and much more! We currently live in Fayetteville, a couple of towns south of Bentonville, in a home we built overlooking the White River. We have three dogs and seven chickens. We love to sneak up to Bentonville to experience the newest restaurant or bike around town.
Michelle Sbabo purchased this House in 2007
Why Michelle Sbabo chose Downtown
Michelle purchased the home before she met Bryan. After marrying, we lived here together for a short time and then rented it out to a sweet family for several years. We moved in again while we were building our current home. We have created many happy memories here and have loved and cared for the home deeply and well. The quiet cul de sac contains some of Bentonville's original "modern homes"... 1960's ranchers with attached garages which were first purchased by the town's influential leaders for their families in the years before Walmart put Bentonville on the map. When Michelle purchased the house, many of its original high end "modern" features were still intact: a wall oven, custom cabinets, built-in stovetop, and floor-to-ceiling baby blue tiles in the bathrooms. While all were still functioning perfectly, we preferred to bring the house into the 21st century with many updates. The only exception is the original oak flooring which gives off a golden glow on sunny days.
What makes this House unique
Large oak and maple trees shade the wide streets and deep backyards of the neighborhood. We love to spend the afternoon on the floating deck in the backyard, shaded by an ancient oak and watching our dogs sniff around the privacy fence. Inside the home, we love the feel of the smooth oak floorboards under our bare feet. The roomy kitchen is a fun place to prep a meal, and you can watch the world go by through the large picture window in the living room. We've equipped the house with creature comforts that we always look for when we're traveling... good sheets and fluffy white towels, quality and playful kitchen gear, comfy beds with a variety of pillow and blanket types, a coffeemaker and a corkscrew among the essentials. Above all, the location makes this house a winner. While it's nestled in the middle of a quiet cul de sac among similar houses, you can jump in the car and be at Crystal Bridges in 5 minutes, the Square in 3 minutes, and one of four grocery stores in 3 minutes. If you want to stretch your legs, all of these destinations are easily accessible by bike or foot. A walk to the Square for an ice cream cone (or an upscale dinner) takes about 12 minutes and we like to think we burn some calories along the way. It's a SAFE walk, too, past some of Bentonville's historic homes, brand new "mansions", churches, and schools. If you're visiting Bentonville for the culinary scene - expect to be 6 to 16 blocks from the hottest spots. If you're here for the art - you're 6 blocks from 21c and just a bit further to the gardens of Crystal Bridges. If you're here for paved trail biking - leave from the house and you can go for miles in any direction. Check out Phat Tire Bike Shop to rent a bike while you're visiting. If you're here for single track - Slaughter Pen is half mile north and Bella Vista's Back 40 can be accessed about 6 miles beyond that. Canoeing and kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, and many other outdoor adventures are just a few miles beyond.

Awesome Bentonville Getaway!
As a two-time guest of this property, I can say it's even better the second time around! The house is just perfect for a long weekend of mountain biking, museum visiting, dining, socializing, and just kicking back. The home's amenities are thoughtful and functional (love the bike shed!), the interior decor is stylish and comfortable, and the yard is ideal for relaxing after a bike ride. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, whether fixing a quick breakfast or preparing a gourmet dinner. The neighborhood is quiet, the back yard is huge, and Michelle has thought of seemingly everything you could possibly need. Best of all is the location; almost exactly equidistant from the Slaughter Pen and the Coler Mountain trails, you can pretty much leave the car in the driveway for your entire stay. It's an easy walk to downtown restaurants and the First Friday celebration, and a quick spin by bike to Crystal Bridges art museum and the Razorback Greenway. I love getting away from the city and relaxing and recreating in Bentonville, and I plan to return to this wonderful house for many more adventures in NWA. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Great property located right next to downtown!
This is my second stay at this property and I will continue to use it in the future. Michelle is great to work with and the house fits our needs perfectly. Thank you!
we came to help our daughter work on her town house and stayed in this wonderful home in a quiet area so exsuasted after working we didn't even make it to bed, but they sure looked comfortable, so were the recliner sofa, our baby's IE dogs, really enjoyed the back yard we will be asking to stay again this time we are going to RELAX
The house is in a great location. The street is shady and the homes and yards are well maintained.
You are blocks (walking or biking distance) from downtown and great walking / biking trials.
The dog parks in Bentonville are wonderful! People are friendly, parks are grassy and we'll maintained. My German Shepherd loved it.
The house is very dog friendly. There is a dog door provided if you have smaller dogs. The yard is Shady. And a wooden fence surrounds the backyard. The dogs have lots of room to play or just hang out in the backyard.
The kitchen has been upgraded with smart appliances. The kitchen is quite large, and it is easy to cook your own meals and serve your family at the table.
But if you should run out of something, Walmart markets are everywhere!
We came in August when temperatures were in the 90s and humidity was high. The central air conditioning unit kept the house very cool. No complaints.
Bed was comfortable and we slept soundly every night. The living room has plenty of seating and has a large flat screen TV.
Having a washer and dryer we could use made to stay there extra nice.
The house was supplied with everything. Move-in-ready :-)
The manager of the property is available by text and responds promptly.
When you stay at a hotel, you feel like you're in a stranger's place. We stayed at the house for 5 days. We unpacked and put our clothes in the dressers and closet and felt right at home.
I think what I appreciated most was Michelle's friendliness in allowing us to bring our dog. Many places will not allow pets. And the ones that will want dogs under 40lbs. Our German Shepherd is 70 lb finding someone who welcomed our large dog in to her beautiful home was a gift.
Thank you Michelle for being so kind and allowing it to stay in your wonderful home.

Excellent place. Better than the photos. Move right in and be at home. Nothing lacking. Comfortable, quiet, and sparkling clean.
