As soon as you arrive at Peaceful View you’ll see how fitting its name is. From the 2 rear decks of the 4-bedroom lodge you can gaze out over dense woodlands toward the Great Smoky Mountains. Rockers provide a restful perch from which to admire the vistas. So does the roomy hot tub; the soothing warmth of its massaging jets of water make reveling in the scenery and the singing of the birds even more of a delight. One of the decks even includes a patio table that seats 4 so that you can dine alfresco or savor a late-night drink in the moonlight.
Peaceful View is just as serene indoors. The great room makes up much of the main floor. Against a towering wall of windows sits a stone-surround electric fireplace, perfect for gathering around after an autumn hike or a day on the slopes of nearby Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. Amid the wood-planked walls and floor and beneath the vaulted ceiling are a plush sofa and settee and wingback armchairs so that everyone can kick back and watch a movie on the state-of-the-art 52” HDTV with DVD player.
The great room encompasses the dining area. Eight people can sit in Windsor chairs around the dining table; another 2 can sidle up to the breakfast bar just a couple of paces away. And while Peaceful View is conveniently close to numerous restaurants, it also features a fully equipped kitchen, with everything from a full-size refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove to a blender and a dishwasher, along with pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. Should you prefer to barbecue, you can cook at the outdoor charcoal grill.
Downstairs is the large game room. Though the pool table takes center stage, the room also offers a dartboard, a CD player, a pub table, a futon for additional sleeping for 2 guest, and a 27” TV with a DVD player. Add to all that free WiFi throughout the cabin and cable TV, and it’s clear you’ll never be bored when you stay at Peaceful View.
Two of Peaceful View’s 4 bedrooms are master suites; one is on the main floor, and the second is on the loft level. Each is a true haven, with a lofty king-size bed, a 27” TV with DVD player, a private bathroom, and most pampering of all, a private Jacuzzi. A lazy soak after a day of horseback riding, biking, or covering every inch of Dollywood will rejuvenate even the weariest of muscles… and maybe put you in the mood for romance as well. The master bathrooms include a combination shower/tub and dual sinks with plenty of storage. And speaking of storage, the master bedrooms feature double closets as well as large dressers.
The other 2 bedrooms are on the lower level. One is furnished with a king-size bed and a 27” TV with DVD player; the other offers a queen-size bed and a 19” TV with DVD player. Have additional guests? The great room’s sofa opens into a bed for 2, enabling Peaceful View to accommodate 12 overnight guests in all.
In addition to the 3 full bathrooms, Peaceful View has a convenient half-bath. Another convenience: the private washer and dryer.
Most convenient of all is Peaceful View’s proximity to the area’s attractions. You can walk—that’s right, walk—to Parrot Mountain and Gardens, one of Pigeon Forge’s top-rated attractions, in less than 15 minutes, and you can drive to Dollywood in less than 5. The Titanic Museum, the Gatlinburg Golf Course, and the Blake Jones Racing Center are among the many attractions within a 15-minute drive. Even the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a true must-visit, is less than a half-hour away.
Peaceful View shows that when it comes to vacation rentals, you really can have it all: gorgeous scenery, quiet surroundings, a convenient location, and luxurious amenities. Go ahead and book your stay today; you definitely won’t regret it!
Please remember that Gatlinburg and the surrounding area is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. Inclement weather can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. We strongly recommend four-wheel drive and/or chains during the winter months.
