The unit we rented was showing its age.
The staff at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. The pool area was also kept clean daily. I realize these units are all individually owned so it depends on which one you rent, but the unit we had was very worn out inside. The doors looked like they hadn't been wiped down in a long time and after spring break season, I can't imagine how many hands have touched them. The bedroom floor has obviously pulled away from the sub-floor because you can feel it go up and down on every step. The bathrooms are very outdated and could use a good update. I would say for the money we paid, I would recommend staying somewhere else next time.
The condo was very comfortable for the 3 of us. The pool was heated which was good because the weather was cold. That was the only downside of the week there was the weather didn't cooperate. We are from North Dakota and one morning it was 27 degrees at Indian Shores and 28 at our home town in ND. We did enjoy the many restaurants along the beach. The view from the balcony is great. We were wishing the property had a hot tub. Maybe that is something you could think about for the future.
It wasn't as nice as some of the places we've stayed but also less expensive so as expected!
The area is perfect! Not very crowded, in the evening we had the beach and pool practically to ourselves and only about a 5 minute drive to shopping and dinning. The condo could use some updates but for the money we were pleased!
Condo on the Gulf
The complex is on a beautiful spot on the Gulf. This is our second stay at this complex but we were disappointed with this particular condo. They do not provide beach chairs or beach towels, although they have towels for sale in the Office and you can rent a two-person cabana with umbrella for a moderate daily/weekly fee. The pool area is very nice with comfortable strapped loungers. But if you are flying and want to spend time on the beach and don't want to pay an additional fee, another condo may work better for you. We found the King bed to be comfortable. Overhead lighting in the bedrooms needs to be brightened up. The bedroom floor was in need of attention. Maybe when it was installed it wasn't given room to expand so now is very irregular. The living room furniture is not as pictured but very nice. Kitchen was well equipment with dishes/pots and pans.
