Walking out the front door and fishing in beautiful Colorado. Sitting on the deck with your morning coffee and gazing at the water. No per person fees, no pet fees and extra amenities for you and your group. Propane always provided

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was a much needed break. Lovely home and had a spectacular time. Saw several mule deer during our stay here in beautiful Colorado. We will be back for the fishing season,

Beautiful lake mountain views

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the stay in Divide. The views were amazing and the people who lived around the lake were all so friendly. It was a terrific experience and we would definitely recommend this property as a 5 star mountain vacation experience.

exceptional value for the space

  • 5 of 5

Now I understand why your calender is so full. The house is well maintained, clean and lots, lots of space. Mom and Dad insisted on a fire every night (lots of wood) so we didn't need to buy it like in previous rentals Dad took the kids down daily for fishing in the boat, and Mom and I took off to Cripple Creek twice; no luck, but a great time. Massive home with lots of space for the children to play, and witnessed the deer strolling through every morning. Views were spectacular, and have recommended to friends in Tacoma. We didn't need out of state fishing license nor the poles which was extra pleasant since we flew in to COS. Dad is planning a man retreat next summer!!

Amazing location!

  • 5 of 5

My small family stayed at this lovely lodge for a long weekend in early fall. The home is well maintained and very clean. It is also huge! (Could comfortably fit 10.) Most importantly for my family, the location was absolutely amazing! Right on a beautiful lake and stunning views in all directions. I can't say enough about how much my family loved hiking on the limitless trails in the area.

They were not truthful in their advertisment

Owner's Response: You called three and half hours after check in with check in earlier than listed on line contract(3 hrs early) and we still offered you and your family a full refund because you felt that the lower level wasnt sufficient for your wheel chair. You also broke toilet seats and made false claims of leaking stove which was immediately refuted with an inspection from our gas repair company. Please next time renting a home you and your family make better attempts of abiding by home rules and fell blessed you werent charged for all the problems you caused. Dave

Perfect spacious retreat!

  • 5 of 5

The location of this super spacious lake home could not of been better! Groceries, gas and recreation was minutes from this quite peaceful retreat nestled in the wooded landscape. The home was great and super spacious. Our kids, spouses and the smaller grand kids moved into the upstairs while my wife and I and older grandkids took over the downstairs. The layout was great for our crew. The amenities provided were great. Fishing poles and bait, propane grill, fishing pass, wifi, firewood etc. Everyone we interfaced with during our stay was great and super responsive. The only change I would of made to my trip was next time I'd stay longer!

Was exactly what we were hoping it would be

  • 4 of 5

We wanted a tranquil experience with as little need for electronics as possible and we got just that. Our only need for the WiFi was to call or loved ones to tell them we were safe. Despite being happy with the cabin, we were hoping to swim in the lake and weren't allowed to. Had i known about the restriction,I don't believe I would have booked this specific cabin. All of the families were comfortable and the cabin had everything we could need. We were close enough to other towns to visit and far enough to feel secluded. Although we never saw other people, we tried to keep the 8pm curfew which was a little inconvenient as well since we mostly wanted to be outside. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Im sorry you were disappointed in your visit. No insurer for Teller County allows swimming on their policies. We are lucky to have the three insurance carriers in this County that we do have. Due to two major fires over the last 12 yrs. all but three do business in the Mountains. And, we did double check our activites list on all websites and nothing was marked "swimming". On the curfew request you would be the first to misinterpret our sign (15 years the sign has been up.) It prevents loud kegger parties and does make people realize to be respectful of others after 8pm. I would of been happy to clarify had you called. We do on occasion have some renters that arent thoughtful of others. Unfortunately, being directly on the water the noise travels for miles and not allowing others the right to have peace and enjoyment on their private time is not acceptable. After 8 pm most of our guests go to the rear of the house to enjoy the hot tub. Thank you again for taking great care of our home and hope I answered all of your concerns, Dave and Cathrine Mountain Properties
