About Mountain Properties

Graduated at St Marys in Colorado Springs and attended College in Michigan. Now we're grandparents of some of the cutest 8 grandbabies!

Mountain Properties purchased this lodge in 1999

Why Mountain Properties chose Woodland Park

over the past few years we've had some of the same families come and enjoy our property. No crowds to fish, peace, and extra amenities you and your family will enjoy. Our maintenance man is close by for the unexpected and has worked for us for 12 years. Walking out the front door and seeing the wild life, geese and mountains is pretty amazing. No out of state license and only charged if you have a POLE in the lake so no pre pay required. Best location for price and space with views that will make you catch your breath.

What makes this lodge unique

Walking out the front door and fishing in beautiful Colorado. Sitting on the deck with your morning coffee and gazing at the water and Mountains. No per person fees, no pet fees and extra amenities for you and your group. Propane always provided and an amazing rear patio with rock walls, flagstone and fire pit. Separate fenced area for your pets.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was a much needed break. Lovely home and had a spectacular time. Saw several mule deer during our stay here in beautiful Colorado. We will be back for the fishing season,

Beautiful lake mountain views

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the stay in Divide. The views were amazing and the people who lived around the lake were all so friendly. It was a terrific experience and we would definitely recommend this property as a 5 star mountain vacation experience.

exceptional value for the space

  • 5 of 5

Now I understand why your calender is so full. The house is well maintained, clean and lots, lots of space. Mom and Dad insisted on a fire every night (lots of wood) so we didn't need to buy it like in previous rentals Dad took the kids down daily for fishing in the boat, and Mom and I took off to Cripple Creek twice; no luck, but a great time. Massive home with lots of space for the children to play, and witnessed the deer strolling through every morning. Views were spectacular, and have recommended to friends in Tacoma. We didn't need out of state fishing license nor the poles which was extra pleasant since we flew in to COS. Dad is planning a man retreat next summer!!

Roomy, clean, convenient property capable os handling large groups.

  • 5 of 5

This property filled the needs of my extended family. The home is spacious with plenty of beds and baths to accommodate large parties. Room for kids to play outside and a nice area in back for storytelling over a glass of wine or a dip in the hot tub. Just a short walk down the hill to the lake for fishing or watching the local fauna.

The area was convenient to many of the Colorado Springs attractions including the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, The North Pole, Old Colorado Springs and Seven Falls, all enjoyed by my family.

I have already recommended this property to friends and family. Hope they don't reserve the same dates I want.

Perfect for large family gathering with kids!

  • 5 of 5

Sibling reunion here was perfect!! Large gathering areas to comfortably fit all! Beautiful views! Kid friendly with outdoor swingset, kid fishing poles and lots of extra cots so kids don't even have to sleep on floors! Steep driveway walk to water was hard on grandma but worth it for everyone else! Will stay again, thanks!!

At one with nature and peaceful!

  • 4 of 5

My family stayed here for a week and we really loved it! The cabin was large enough to comfortably fit my family of 12! The location is remote but also pretty close to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park, and of course Divide. I would say the only con would be how confusing the fishing is on the reservoir the cabin is located on. There are fees but we couldn't figure out who to pay the fees to so we could fish. We also didn't have a ton of time to investigate too much! All in all, beautiful property, family friendly, and comfortable beds! My favorite part was the fire pit by the hot tub and the family of deer that made an appearance every day! Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you. We really appreciate polite, clean and friendly guests and your always welcome to visit anytime. I apologize for the fishing confusion. There are no fees until there is a pole in the water. At that time a volunteer will approach you. No prepayment required. Children 11 under free n Adults 10. We do have rules and fishing permit located on the den wall in the lower level of our home. The lakes (5 in area) are stocked 5 times a year which is 100% funded by the fishing fees and permits. That makes for great fishing=) Thank you again Cathrine and David Mountain Properties
