Great back to nature location

  • 5 of 5

The house was immaculately clean, appropriately decorated, and the owner was attentive and responsive. The beds were very comfortable! The rooms are a little smaller than they appear in the photos but served my needs well. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit at night, even in freezing temps, and Sandy, a neighbor, was very helpful when she saw us struggling to light a fire. It was great sitting and watching the river flow by while drinking our coffee every morning. This would be a great getaway for someone wanting to fish, go boating, canoeing or kayaking. I was disappointed that we didn't have cable tv, but the owner does provide Netflix and Sling. My cell phone (ATT) had no service there, but wifi gave us access to the internet and the owner provided landline service. So we were very pleased and enjoyed our stay.

This was a totally awesome getaway. A++++

  • 5 of 5

The property was extremely clean with all the conveniences of home plus extras. We enjoyed the complementary root beer floats, moon pies and charcoal for grilling. The fishing and weather was great. We loved the decorations on the property and understood all the bands, due to growing up during this period. You could not ask for a more relaxing experience. The neighbors dogs showed up late Saturday evening during our fire pit roast. They seemed people friendly but was hesitant after this to let my little dog out not knowing how they would be with her.

We hope to visit again soon.

Thanks,

Paula

NICE RELAXING HOLIDAY WEEKEND

  • 5 of 5

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR COTTAGE WITH US. WE HAD A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. THE COTTAGE IS STOCKED VERY WELL WITH EVERYTHING WE COULD HAVE NEEDED. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEKEND WAS RELAXING IN THE SWINGS OVER THE RIVER AND SWIMMING OFF THE BOAT RAMP. HOPE TO COME FOR ANOTHER VISIT SOON.

Beautiful piece of paradise tucked away on the river. Wonderfully appointed too!

  • 4 of 5

This home is situated directly on the beautiful Edisto River in Ridgeville. Our stay was a short romantic getaway and the home was perfect for us and our dog.

We did not have cell service (Att or Boost) but the wifi allowed for internet access and Roku. There is a landline, but we didn't end up needing it.

It was a pleasant surprise upon arriving how well appointed this home was. There is literally everything you could possibly need already provided at your finger tips. We enjoyed cooking everyday during our stay in the full kitchen and on the grill outside. Everything is provided - kitchen utensils, pans, plates, even down to the charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill.

The little touches, cute signs and decorations in every room and even the riverside patio were delightful. Thoughtful

things like instructions and ingredients to make genuine rootbeer floats were provided and thoroughly enjoyed by my girlfriend and I. It was like a home away from home.

Even the visit from the owner in the middle of the stay was pleasant, though unexpected. Connie was very nice and even gave us some history on the home and past floods, etc.

We did make it into Charleston to do some exploring and shopping. Typical busy city with anything you could need and only about an hour away. Closer still, about 20 mins away, is some smaller towns with a Walmart grocery store as well.

The last day was slightly eventful, the neighbor down the streets dog (elderly dachshund) wanted to stand in the road causing a slightly comical dilemma for us so I got out to try to coax him to the side of the road and out of harm's way. The owner came out but did not seem very friendly. He called his dog in and and didn't respond when I said hello, so we went about our way. That night, the friendly neighborhood dog (very friendly black and white dog) decided to spend the night under the house. His occasional barking from under the house kept my girlfriend up a little bit but we just assumed he was keeping us safe from the nighttime critters lol. He had gone home by the next morning.

All in all we highly recommend this home for any purpose. You will not find a more quiet and peaceful retreat with owners who really do care about providing a very special place to relax and enjoy nature. We hope to be back very soon!

A delightful experience for us especially since it was our first time staying at an Arbnb

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Arbnb in Ridgeville, SC and it was an absolute delight! It was located right on the Edisto River. The owners, Connie and Aaron were delightful people. The cottage was just so cute and comfortable. There was everything we needed. There was a little hitch on our last day, the toilet plugged and they weren't able to get a repairman there until the early evening but it all worked out well. Connie and Aaron offered another day for free but unfortunately we couldn't stay. We would definitely go back!
