An easy 15 minute drive from Santa Fe airport or minutes from 285 and I-25. Approximately 50 minutes from Albuquerque airport. The driveway is a bit steep, we recommend vehicles with all-wheel or front-wheel drive during winter conditions. New Mexico is high-desert terrain and Santa Fe sits 7,000 feet up in the southernmost Rocky Mountains. During the WINTER MONTHS when there is SNOW ON THE GROUND four wheel drive and winter tires are a must, or one can park on the top of the driveway and walk down to the house (50 yards). We have a snow clearing crew in place to clear the driveway. Most of the time, even if there is a big snow storm, the snow will melt off within 24 hours once the sun comes out.

Acres and acres of gorgeous with striking interiors

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and it was the perfect spot for relaxation. Close enough to town to enjoy Santa Fe's great restaurants but in the morning, you are awed by acres of desert mountain beauty that only this neighborhood can offer.

We loved the interiors and patio. The hosts were fabulous and easy to communicate with. We've already decided it will be our go-to spot when we visit Santa Fe next.

Great location, beautiful views, perfect vacation house for Santa Fe!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 weeks and loved it! The views are incredibly beautiful, the house is spacious and well furnished, great floor plan which also allows for private time. Kitchen has everything we needed and the deck, courtyard & backyard are perfect for families, friends, children and pets. We stayed in August and it was quite warm in the daytime. Fans are provided and the house quickly cools down in the evenings. Overall very comfortable and NM has low humidity which makes it feel several degrees cooler. Quick and easy drive to the plaza. Good location for hiking, shopping, day trips to Taos, Red River, etc. Overall a wonderful place to stay when visiting New Mexico. Highly recommended!!!

convenient, quiet location with all that you will need

  • 4 of 5

(family of 5 from TX) We enjoyed the 6 mile proximity to the center of Santa Fe. Also, easy location to head out for day drives anywhere else. This home is within minutes to a few hours from so many National Monuments and Parks! Enjoyable sunsets and quiet time on the deck. The house offers updates throughout and feels very cozy. Nice evening breezes as the nights cool down in Santa Fe. Only down fall : this house (and many homes in Santa Fe) does not have air conditioning. Only a few times we felt we could have used a little AC (middle of August) to cool it down after we were out all day hiking. It might be warmer in the house in the mid summer time. Kitchen needs a few more eat-in stools for group or families. When we had questions - Richard was very responsive and timely.

Spectacular views!

House was as represented in the HomeAway description. Unfortunately, the stairs proved a bit daunting for us as we both have bad knees. The setting was ideal and the surrounding area was most beautiful.

Amazing views, beautiful homes.

Casa Ventana is a beautiful home with amazing sunset views. The location is wonderful, just far enough away that you have your privacy but close enough to town that it's a quick drive to restauants, shopping and hiking. The neighborhood itself is beautiful and we enjoyed early morning walks in the cool weather. The house has everything that you need plus more for a comfortable stay. We visited in July which is the warmest month for Sante Fe and monsoon season. The home has no AC and it can get a bit warm but with the windows open and the nice breezes that come in after a storm, it cools down a lot. Watching the storms roll in from the balcony are an added bonus as is the large backyard and property surrounding the home. My kids loved going outside and playing. Not all homes have space for kids to run around and play but this one had plenty. We had a minor issue with hot water and the property manager was extremely responsive and fixed it right away which we appreciated. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Casa Ventana.

What a view! Authentic Santa Fe style with modern convenience.

  • 5 of 5

We had an extended stay at this beautiful home in Santa Fe. The home is updated and reflects the unique decor of the area in such a tasteful way.

The View: One of the many wonderful things about the location is how the house is situated on the lot to look out toward the mountains and probably the best sunset view around. We were there over the 4th of July and got to see multiple firework shows from the comfort of the deck.

The Location: This home is a few minutes outside of Santa Fe, which was perfect for my family. It was easy to get into town (about 10 min) and an ideal spot for exploring the area. It is not far from Harry's Roadhouse which is a favorite breakfast spot of mine that isn't touristy and has excellent food with New Mexican flavors across the menu. There is also a nice walking path/loop very near the entrance of the subdivision

The house: The house was spotless and well maintained. The kitchen is new and beautiful. Easy to cook in and clean up, which was important to us as we were there with the family and we enjoyed meals at "home". The sweet courtyard was a great place to sit and be outside and still be cool in the heat of the day.

I have to mention that the view from the master bedroom in the morning is full mountain view where you are able to see all the colors and the wonderful light that makes this area so unique. The living space was beautiful and the open floor plan provided ample spots for us to curl up and enjoy a good book and each other's company. The bathrooms had what we needed and had plenty of thick towels.

Hope to visit this one again!
