Why CJ Kenna chose Camden

Haven is secluded and completely private, bordering a 66 acre arboretum with trails and gardens. Simply walk out the back door into the preserve via our private trail, and then later stroll 5 - 15 minutes to the harbor, restaurants, out for drinks, and shopping. Lovely!

What makes this lodge unique

We use a simple technology known as Hemi-Sync. After more than 50 years of research, the patented Hemi-Sync process remains unparalleled in its ability to assist in bringing us easily and effortlessly into the meditative state. You'll be "there" in as little as 5 minutes simply by listening, and doing so in whatever position is most comfy for you!

When listening to Hemi-Sync, the brain transitions from either a right or left brain dominance to a synchronized, holistic whole brain functioning, where both hemispheres of the brain work in concert and collaboration.

This significantly more focused and coherent state allows everyone, regardless of experience, to reap the benefits (emotional, physical, spiritual, mental) of the "meditation mind" and is optimum for many things, including relaxation, learning, healing, self-discovery, the exploration of consciousness, and for the development of human potential.

During your session, you'll engage in gentle, goal-specific verbally guided and non-verbal meditative and mindfulness Hemi-Sync exercises, listening in comfort with cupped and padded Senheiser headphones. Each meditative session lasts from 25 to 55 minutes, during which time you'll "journey inward" while snuggled and supported by giant "bean bags" (known as FatBoys), neck pillows, body pillows, eye shades, and blankets.

Schedule a personal session just for you to work on a specific area or issue, or schedule a larger (up to 10) session for your whole group in our beautiful Center.

Exactly what we wanted

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic base for hiking in Camden Hills State Park. Welcoming and cozy (loved the video that showed as what to expect)! We were warmly greeted by CJ and given contact info if we needed it- but we had everything we needed already. The bed was SUPER comfy! The location is awesome, within a mile of downtown. Would love to explore the grounds when it’s better weather (looked gorgeous from what we could see through the rain and fog!). Possibly it would be cool if there was a little mini fridge to keep leftovers or drinks cool, but that’s really, really minor. They were so accommodating even though we booked just days before our trip. 10/10 recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this retreat in Camden. It was the perfect location for exploring Camden and environs. The place was immaculate and CJ was very warm and welcoming. Very private, great location next to a park with walking trails and arboretum.

Attentive owner, very clean

  • 5 of 5

Christine was eager to respond to questions and needs in a timely manner and was very helpful. We stayed in the bunk room. It was comfortable, roomy enough for four and very clean. We had a private bath that was separate from the room but conviently located. It actually made it more private having the bathroom not connected to the room. Wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again.
