This custom-designed 3BR/2BA home is perfect for a family or group and features abundant outdoor spaces, including a covered courtyard living area, two BBQs, a fire pit, and a hot tub.
Rustic touches and contemporary design combine, giving this home an elegant Hill Country vibe. Polished concrete floors, vaulted ceilings, and plenty of natural light are found throughout.
This home is located in the heart of Hill Country, in Spicewood, close to an array of local wineries, Texas-style dining, and natural springs.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
In the custom-designed kitchen, you’ll find stainless appliances, cabinets made from Craftsman tool boxes, and an island refurbished from an antique drafting table. Add flavor to any meal with herbs from the irrigated garden outside. Then gather at the tree-slab table (seats four) for a relaxing meal.
After dinner, unwind in front of the limestone fireplace on the leather sofa and chair. Or use the telescope to check out the stars. Bring over games and books from the bedroom wing for a quiet and relaxing evening.
The outdoor living area sits between the two wings of the home. The vaulted ceiling and fan will keep you cool as you stretch out on the sofa, rock in the two chairs, or perch on a bar stool. A dry bar makes this a perfect spot to just relax with family.
The home sleeps six in total. The two guest rooms include queen beds, wrought-iron headboards, and unique artwork. One room also has a 20” flat screen TV and a double-door access to the hot tub outside. A shared bathroom around the corner has a walk-in shower. The master also features a queen bed and artwork, as well as an en suite bathroom with a claw-foot tub.
If you want to throw a Texas-style cookout, you can take your pick between a Weber 36” Grill or a Big Green Egg BBQ. Enjoy a glass of Hill Country wine at the dining table as you take in the open-country views. Or soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking.
As night falls, head over to the fire pit to roast marshmallows. Then stretch out in one of the six Adirondack chairs and gaze up at the stars—they really are big and bright in Texas.
For a dinner out, check out Opie’s Barbeque (2-minute drive) or J5 Steakhouse (10 minutes). Or for a unique experience, try Apis Restaurant and Apiary (8 minutes)—the honey is made right in the back yard.
Local wineries include Spicewood Vineyards, McReynolds Winery, Stone House Vineyard, Flat Creek Estate Winery and Vineyard, El Gaucho Winery, Westcave Cellars Winery, and more. All are between 10 to 50 minutes away by car.
For unforgettable outdoor adventure, head over to Krause Springs (7-minute drive) and explore the 32 natural springs, swimming holes, trails, waterfalls, and more.
